EARTH SHIFT REPORT 8
BLACK SEA GAMBIT
He who controls Black Sea controls Russia's soft underbelly
Lada Ray's message
I've written a thriller or two in my life, most notably, the reader and Amazon top-rated
THE EARTH SHIFTER and bestselling GOLD TRAIN (Jade Snow Russia Adventure).
This Earth Shift Report is in part geopolitical analysis, in part futurist trendcast, and in part investigative report.
But what really sets it apart is that reading it, you'll feel at times that you are in the midst of a geopolitical or spy thriller, and at other times, as if you've landed in an apocalyptic sci-fi!
Because the geographic position of the many areas we discuss is of crucial importance to the big geopolitical game being played around Black Sea, this report includes a number of maps, which will help my readers orient and anchor themselves in the convoluted sea of events and changes. Each map is explained and tied to the narrative, which will greatly enrich your reading experience!
The fact that I myself am intimately familiar with those parts will put you straight in the middle of an action.
But that's not all! Added are several chilling, shocking, revealing, and at times, hugely entertaining, stories and videos that make this Earth Shift Report better than a thriller!

Odessa, Black Sea and a nuclear bomb of a story - literally!
Police state at its peak: I have been banned in Ukraine
I recently found out that my blog FuturisTrendcast and I personally have been banned in Ukraine. Yep, see I am officially, as they call it in today's fascist Kiev, a vatnik, kolorad and separatist. My Twitter pal, world-famous pianist Valentina Lisitsa, who is also quite outspoken about Kiev regime atrocities, and who, like yours truly, also happens to be from Odessa, calls herself 'nedoukrainka.' This is her sarcastic Twitter name. Nedoukrainka, translated from Russian or Ukrainian, means: 'not quite Ukrainian.' I think I can say the same about myself.
FuturisTrendcast blog has been blocked in Ukraine. My writings cannot be seen in Ukraine and I personally, should I ever want to cross the border into Ukraine, would apparently be arrested or deported.
I suspected this since 2014, when I initially began writing about Ukraine due to the February coup, following Odessa massacre and war in Donbass. In the first few months of 2014 I had a regular daily visitations from Ukraine on FuturisTrendcast. I actually received emails and comments from both Ukrainians and American expats living in Ukraine, who told me that they were on Russian and Novorossia's side.
One such expat wrote to me from Zaporozhie around March of 2014 that the city was preparing to secede, along with others. 'I agree with your assessment of different parts of Ukraine. We, here in Zaporozhie, think that Ukraine will split in three parts,' he said. Another American expat, who introduced himself as an ex-policemen from LA, wrote from Odessa before the May 2, 2014 burning on Kulikovo Polie that the city he used to love was turning into something very uncomfortable to live in. A Twitter pal from Kiev wrote that she, as a Russian speaker, was afraid to come out on street and speak Russian. Then she wrote that she had had enough and that her entire family was leaving Ukraine permanently.
Then, towards the end of 2014 all blog visitations and emails from Ukraine sharply stopped. Ever since, there hasn't been a single blog visit or email from Ukraine.
As far as the ban, I am in very good company. Literally who's who (I mean among decent people, of course) in Russia and Europe have been banned from this fascist version of Ukraine. Some of these, like Nikolay Starikov, Sergey Glazyev and Anatoly Vasserman, are on my list of top Russian analyst recommendations. Out of these, Prof. Glazyev is originally from Zaporozhie.
Vasserman is from Odessa, who was also Ukrainian citizen till recently, despite working and living for many years in Moscow and being a famous analyst, intellectual gamer and TV/radio personality. The fact that for 20 years he hadn't applied for Russian citizenship just shows how easy it used to be to live between Russia and Ukraine before 2013. Vasserman said his dream was 'to receive Russian citizenship together with the rest of Ukrainians.' But more recently, Kiev began a criminal case against him, charging him with separatism and treason. He was threatened with kidnapping in order to be taken to Kiev for trial. This may have happened for real, for example, in order to later swap him for the nazi killer and Aidar battalion member Nadezhda Savchenko, who was just sentenced to 22 years by the Moscow court for assisting in the assassination of two Russian journalists and in directing the Ukraine artillery fire at the Donbass refugees, killing dozens.
When threat to Vasserman's life became imminent, Russian President Putin awarded him Russian citizenship 'Za zaslugi pered Rossiey,' loosely translated as 'for merit and achievements benefiting Russia.' This is a very deserving move that should have happened a long time ago, as many have thought. But it also saved Vasserman's life. Now, if Kiev attempted what they planned, they'd be kidnapping a citizen of Russia.
Many, if not most, members of the Russian Duma, politicians, authors, bloggers and speakers are on the banned list. But it goes much further than that. In 2015 they banned Polish journalist Jakob Kureiba (this is phonetic spelling - Polish spelling may differ), who often appeared on Russian TV debates and who always in such debates took the side of Kiev, bashing Russia with an obvious glee. After the ban, that Polish journalist went around various shows on Russian TV, crying and complaining that as a result of the ban he couldn't visit his 'favorite western Ukraine' any more.
Yes, you've heard it right: he went on Russian TV(!), after publicly and repeatedly bashing Russia for the whole world to hear, to complain about Ukraine and Kiev, whose side he took every time! This just goes to show how liberal and open Russian political and media scene is. I can't imagine anyone from, say Russia, appearing on American TV and saying the truth about the US. Same goes for Canada, Australia or UK - all of our main 'beacons of democracy.' Sorry, beacons of hypocrisy.
I recently heard another Polish analyst saying that Poles are a 'little afraid of Ukraine.' Even those few Polish journalists and politicians Ukraine hasn't banned yet, said this analyst, wouldn't want to go to Ukraine. He certainly means today's fascist version of Ukraine. This position is expressed on the media and political levels, as well as supported by average citizens. What a turnaround for Poland after years of working hard to push Ukraine on the war path against Russia! This turnaround doesn't mean, by the way, the Poles at large have changed towards Russia. No, they still hate Russia, except now they also hate Ukraine, which just recently they wanted to annex. But then, they equally hate Germany and the rest of EU. Below, we will discuss a lot more about Poland's role in the global game of weakening Russia and why it's so easy to manipulate it.
Recently, Kiev banned German politicians from Die Linke, the only party in Germany that consistently criticized German sanctions against Russia, Merkel's backing of the Kiev regime, and her anti-Russian policies. I had previously have posts about the leaders of Die Linke, Dr. Sahra Wagenknecht and Gregor Gysi. It appears the whole party has been banned by nazi Ukraine.
Of course, Kiev banned Ukrainian Communist Party, as well as Ukraine's own Progressive Socialist Party, with its leader and very brave woman Natalia Vitrenko. In general, the entire left-to-center movement in Ukraine has been decimated. Yet, Kiev allows to flourish any and all ukro-nazi forces, calling them 'patriots.'
The list is much longer than would fit in any article or report. Some of those banned say they were proud to be on the banned list; this means they are doing something right. I am just sad. I'm sad what a farce and abomination the Ukraine I once knew has turned into; into what the people still residing there allowed it to turn.
Why I never ignore my premonitions & why I have not returned to Ukraine
I had left Odessa, at the time a part of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, in the end of 1989, to never return back to either the sunny city of my childhood or to Ukraine in general. It was still the USSR and if anyone had told me at the time the mighty colossus would simply disintegrate by the end of 1991, I would have said they were nuts. Logically, it couldn't and shouldn't have happened.
Yet, by 1990 I permanently moved out of Moscow to the West, having been offered some lucrative scholarships. They were fishing for talent all over the USSR, knowing their plan of breaking it up was going in the right direction and trying to secure best brains, artists and athletes while Russia was too busy with internal and foreign-imposed problems. It was akin to one thief distracting a victim being robbed by another thief.
Being still quite young and attached to Russia, I hesitated to leave. Only later I understood that intuitively I knew that the disaster of the '90s was coming and that destiny took me out of harms way. Instead I was destined to learn all about the West, which in turn now allows me to share my knowledge with others, uncovering the real truth and building bridges of knowledge and understanding.
Talent left the USSR, including Russia, Ukraine and other republics, in droves. You may know many Russian names associated with this time: talented pianist Valentina Lisitsa, who's incidentally originally from Odessa, has lived in New York since she was a teen; Russian hockey players, such as the legendary Viacheslav Fetisov, whom I knew in New Jersey when he played for New Jersey Devils (check out his Wiki page, which corroborates on what I am talking about). Incidentally, Fetisov and many others returned to Russia in 2000s, when Putin came to power.
I had talked about some other Russian athletes in the US, such as Olympics gold medalist, figure skater Oksana Bayul and her legendary coach Galina Zmievsakya - both from Odessa - whom I also knew in Connecticut and New Jersey (read in this article). In New York and Princeton I knew lots of Russian scientists who moved to the US in the 1990s. Many of Russian scientists, techies and sports figures were my financial clients.
US gymnast and Olympics gold medalist Nastya Lyukin is also one of such emigres. Google co-founder Sergey Brin was one of such immigrants.
Simultaneously with the brain and talent drain, the wholesale economic looting of the USSR began, which lasted throughout the 1990s.
I write about that in my novel THE EARTH SHIFTER (Books; Excerpts).
It is well known that the talent drain from the USSR is what created Israel's technological revolution. It also often said by those in the know that the drain of talent, brains and physical wealth out of Russia and the former USSR throughout the '90s is what sustained the West, and particularly the US, until now. No matter how much USA tried to camouflage this fact, it is what allowed to postpone the collapse of the USA, predicted by many since the beginning of 2000s.
In 1990s, I worked as a financial consultant at Smith Barney. One of my friends was an independent programming consultant, working for Merrill Lynch, who happened to also be my financial client. This young woman managed to get her own small company running by the age of 25, after finishing NYU. She was originally from Riga, at the time the capital of Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic, and today the capital of a member of the EU and NATO, Latvia. At 17 she began her studies at the Leningrad (today: St. Petersburg) University. But her parents yanked her out and brought her to New York in 1990. She quickly passed all the tests and was accepted to the computer programming department of NYU.

Nostalgic images of Odessa:
How, without realizing it, in 2006 and 2013 I made predictions of what would happen to Odessa and Ukraine
Once, we sat down to talk about our memories. She missed Riga and I missed Odessa.
"Are you planning on returning to Riga?" I asked.
"No," she said resolutely. "I have very good memories of my childhood. I don't want to spoil them by going back. You know what I mean?"
I kind of did. Ever since she left, her native Riga and Latvia had turned into a euro-fascist city and state, where the rights of non-Latvians were suppressed and where old Latvian SS battalions marched openly on streets. I didn't blame her at all, but for me at the time it was a little surreal, a bit hard to imagine.
Ukraine was still almost the same as Russia in terms of mentality, although the signs of unfavorable changes began to show. For one, I found it ridiculous that I had to pay for a visa to visit my native Odessa. My family and friends, who were all home sick, went back all the time. Some of them bought summer property in Odessa, in order to reconnect to their beloved city.
Over the years since I left Odessa and Russia in 1990, I've traveled back to Moscow, Nizhny, Sochi, Baikal, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Kamchatka, various other places in Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Pridnestrovie and even Central Asia, but continued bypassing Ukraine. I also didn't want to be disappointed. I wanted to keep the nice memories without soiling them with the sad state of the 1990s-2000s Odessa and Ukraine.
In mid-2000s I was very unhappy remaining in the US, seeing what US was doing around the world. At the time I neither wrote nor talked about geopolitics. Although I always saw through political and geopolitical games being played on our planet, being a spiritually-oriented person, I stayed away from talking about geopolitics.
As an empath and mind-shifter, I usually knew stuff by tuning into the energy, and often, by just looking or thinking about something. My hubby saw how depressed living in the US made me and proposed that we should relocate to another country. After going through a list of potential locales, we got to Odessa.
"Idea!" he said. "Do you want to move back to Odessa? Seems like a nice place, from what you've described. Black Sea, beach, nice people - what's not to like. I am game if you are."
"No!" I said. "Absolutely not."
"Why not?" He was confused. "You talk nostalgically all the time about Odessa. Won't you be happier there?"
Without thinking, I blurted out, "Because Odessa is in Ukraine. For as long as it's a part of Ukraine, I won't go there."
"Ah... I see. " He looked at me, nodded and that was the end of that discussion.
In the middle of 2013 I still didn't write or talk about geopolitics, although I constantly experienced an urge to do so. I had flashing images and claircognizant reminders, nudging me to voice out things I knew and foresaw, so others would be forewarned. But I was too averse to any confrontation, and talking about global conflicts would by definition mean getting into a confrontation.
At the same time, I was getting nudges to write about Odessa. It'll be happy memories only, great images and fun, I decided and began working on my 2-part Odessa story on Lada Ray Blog. It was mid-2013, several months before the inkling of Kiev ukro-nazi Maidan. At the time life still went on as usual and there was no indication whatsoever that Ukraine would soon turn into a monster, doubling up as US puppet idiocracy. It was the beach season 2013 in the sunny Odessa and no one suspected that in less than a year the city would go through the Kulikovo Polie massacre and one of the most shocking experiences since World War II. Ukraine was still more or less Ukraine I knew. The 2014 coup hasn't yet begun.
Remember the sleeping prophet Edgar Cayce? His prophecies came out when his mind was in an altered Alpha or Theta state. When he woke up, he may not have remembered anything. In the altered state he could access without distractions his higher mind. Writers can access the higher mind by immersing themselves into the writing process, artists can do that by immersing in their art and scientists - into their science. As I wrote, my subliminal mind, already knowing what was to come, produced a combined warning and prophecy:
Part 1 quote (ODESSA, THE PEARL OF THE BLACK SEA):
"In its 220 years of history, Odessa has been through dramatic changes in citizenship and population, bloody revolutions, German Nazi and Romanian siege & occupation, heroic underground guerrilla war, and even a cholera outbreak. What allowed it to survive all of this, emerging with flying colors, is its relentless optimism, its undying sense of humor and artistry that permeate every pore of the city’s existence. Odessans are lovers and traders, not fighters. Over 70 different nationalities reside in this major city-port. From the very childhood, they learn to co-exist peacefully and respect each other. This is a very colorful place and exceptional environment to enjoy life. This is where I was lucky enough to grow up. This is the city I love."
I began that post with the following phrase:
Take him instead to Odessa, a nice city, a wonderful place to raise a family. Everything Is Illuminated (novel & movie)
I had a strong urge to add the preceding phrase, which stubbornly kept popping into my mind. But since I wanted to avoid any confrontation in my post, I set it aside and refrained from putting it in writing, not realizing that it was a premonition of things to come.
Those who have read the book or seen the film Everything Is Illuminated, starring Elijah Wood (who also starred in the Lord of the Rings) may recall this scene. A young Jew from New York comes to Ukraine to trace his family's War World II history. He has to go to western Ukraine to find a woman who once saved many Jews from a massacre by Nazis. To make that happen, he hires a young man from Odessa as translator, whose Jewish father, having found out that his son is to take the nice American to western Ukraine, says: Don't take him to western Ukraine. It's not good. Take him instead to Odessa, a nice city, wonderful place to raise a family.
(Notably, the movie skirts around the issue of who really executed all those poor villagers, seemingly alluding to the fact that those were in fact German Nazis. As is now common knowledge, at least in major part the infamous western Ukraine massacres against hundreds of thousands of Poles, Jews, Rusins (Ruthenians) and Ukrainians were executed by western Ukraine Bandera ukro-nazis. Was the film (and the book?) censored so not to dirty up the image of western Ukrainian/US/Canada followers of Bandera, who were soon to be unleashed by the US on unsuspecting Ukraine citizens? It's most definite that the Jewish massacre described in the film was executed by western Ukraine fascists (aka, ukro-nazis) from Bandera/ Shukhevich division Galichina and similar German SS outfits, many of whom escaped to the US and Canada from justice. Today's followers of the Bandera ukro-nazis are the ones who executed the 2014 Kiev Maidan, Donbass war, burning of people in Odessa on May 2, 2014, torture, kidnappings and many other crimes. Of course, in all this they were financed, trained and supported by Ukraine oligarchs and their handlers from US, Canada, Poland, Lithuania and EU.)
Here is another quote from part 1:
"The child of ambition and genius of the Russian Empress Catherine the Great, Odessa is a truly unique cultural and architectural phenomenon. In addition to being a major resort, international port, plus educational & cultural center, it also was the Russian capital of humor during Soviet and the Russian Empire days. Although now, along with the Crimea, it is part of the Ukraine as a separate state (sad story – don’t ask), it still retains its status as a major international hub of laughs."
Part 2 quote (CHILDHOOD MEMORIES: SUN, BLACK SEA, FUN, ODESSA):
"The population of Odessa is just over a million, however its cultural impact and its presence are on par with larger capitals of the world. At the same time, it preserves the rare charm and coziness of a much smaller place. Odessa is a self-styled “state within a state” which always fancied itself as a Porto Franco, while being fatefully stuck in someone else’s backyard. But it’s one of those places that is destined to always bounce back from any adversity or disappointment. It’ll always find its balance because of its built-in DNA of fun, love, art, success and humor! And THAT no one can take away."

Ever since I wrote that humorous and lighthearted Odessa story, it became one of the top posts on my blog, and remained so since. I was contacted by several publications from Odessa, asking if they could quote me or reprint a part of my story.
Only after 2014 Kiev Maidan and the following May 2 Odessa massacre I remembered my Odessa story and understood that, without knowing it, in 2013 I wrote a warning and a prophecy of things to come...
On map below: Odessa Oblast (Odesskaya Oblast'), stretching along the northwestern coast of Black Sea. All the way down south is the estuary of the river Danube with controlling port of Izmail. In the south Odessa Oblast borders Romania, to the west the breakaway Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) and Moldova. Izmail controls Danube access to Black Sea with subsequent uninterrupted access to Mediterranean. Danube (correct: Dunai - pronounced 'dounai') runs through several key countries in the region, including Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia and Germany.
Odessa Oblast has seven major ports of strategic importance. Despite a wholesale looting and universal neglect these, once flourishing and fast growing, ports had to endure in the past 24 years they constitute the only truly valuable asset of global importance left in Ukraine. Kiev is doing everything to sell off Odessa ports to the US.
Ukrainian futurist's dire prediction: Nuclear Strike against Odessa
In this report, we will talk about many places surrounding and neighboring Black Sea. While they all are very important and play their own role in the ongoing geopolitical chess game between US and Russia, more than any other, we will talk about Odessa. Here is why. Black Sea has three biggest assets and, by extension, pressure points. These are: 1. Crimea and Sevastopol, 2. Black Sea Straits and Istanbul (Constantinople), 3. Odessa. We have discussed the issue of the straits and Constantinople in ESR7: TURKISH CONUNDRUM and we will talk about Crimea in ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA.
In this report we will concentrate on Odessa, as well as the entire Black Sea region. What makes this inland sea so immensely important? What sets it apart from so many others? Why has it for millennia been a bone of contention? From Poland and Balkans to Caucasus, Moldova and Pridnestrovie; from Ukraine to Turkey, from Baltics to Caspian - it all connects through Black Sea and a lot is centered around the great energy knot that is Odessa. Throughout this report you'll see how it all folds neatly together to form a complete picture.
Below is the video with prediction by popular Ukrainian futurist and political analyst Igor Berkut, who works together with Roman Vasilishin. I've translated it for you. It carries an apocalyptic shock value, also being revealing and educational. Underneath the video you will find my own assessment and prediction.

VIDEO Igor Berkut: Goodbye, Odessa? Kiev, Sept 17, 2015 (RUS):
Goodbye, Odessa - video translation:
"There is a prognosis, according to which there is a high probability of a nuclear strike against Odessa between 2022 and 2030. There are two methods we use to predict events. One: we start out of today's point in time and from thereon events branch out like branches of a tree. Two: we start from the future point: it already happened, it couldn't have been avoided. From thereon we project back to the past, to today.
I'll tell you how we have projected this event from the future into today. In 2022-2030 Odessa was hit by a nuclear strike, resulting in complete destruction of the city infrastructure and huge casualties. Two sides are blamed for the strike: Russia, or alternatively, US. On the US side it is understood that nuclear explosion originated from a US battleship stationed on the US naval base in Odessa.
Those who argue that it was Russia who struck Odessa say that a nuclear charged torpedo was launched against US base from Crimea. Such torpedo exists, its length is 10-15 meters with radius of almost 1.5 meters. This torpedo has self-regulating capacity and cannot be detected. Why did Russia need to blow up the US naval base in Odessa? Because in 2022 Putin left presidential post, having become a mentor, as a result of which Russia became politically unstable. Taking advantage of this instability, US is trying to use its fleet stationed in Odessa to 'resolve' the issue of Crimea.
Those who argue US struck Odessa give other similar examples of USA's behavior and argue that US did it so Russia could be blamed and so to destabilize the situation even further. Blaming Russia allows them to impose further sanctions, possibly use force against Russia, etc.
Where did nuclear device come from in Odessa? How did it get on board of the US ship? Some not very smart analysts say that Turkey wouldn't let nuclear device through the straits. First, no one's going to ask Turkey. Second, you can always deliver it by air.
Going back in time, closer to today. How did this US naval base appear in Odessa. It turns out that beginning in 2015 groups of foreign men in civilian clothes continuously arrive via chartered flights to Odessa. These unknown people are then picked up by micro-buses and settled in closed off camps. In groups of 3-5 people they quietly survey the Odessa bay and port, the geology, power lines, everything that will allow them to assess what resources and time are needed to build the US base.
Because the governor of Odessa in 2015 was Saakashvili, it was possible to minimize leaks about real activities of the US in Odessa. Moreover, those who accompanied these people were mostly Georgian nationals carrying IDs of Ukraine police and SBU. They made sure the possibility of leaks was reduced to a minimum.
In 2017 US began construction of its Odessa naval base. This base carried a direct threat against Russian Crimean base and troops and it neutralized Russia and Crimea in the Black Sea.
Since in 2022 the situation becomes volatile, and it is known that both Russia in Crimea and US in Odessa have nuclear weapons, the scenario described becomes a reality. The only thing that's not clear is who did it: Russia as a preventative measure, or US in order to put the blame on Russia.
So, here is our prognosis on what will happen between 2022 and 2030. I'll tell you right away that I don't accept any 'what if' or 'may be.' I say it will happen! If USA doesn't get distracted from Ukraine by something else, if the standoff with Russia continues, the rest of events is predetermined."
LR NOTES: Mikhail Saakashvili is ex-president of Georgia, wanted in his country and by Interpol on charges of corruption, embezzlement and overstepping his authority. Having been ousted, he escaped from his country to the US. In 2015 he took Ukrainian citizenship after US installed him as Odessa governor. Known as direct and unabashed US agent, likes to brag how close he is to the US top bras. In reality, he is just one of those convenient puppets US likes to use and then throw out.
His salary as Odessa governor is paid by US, of which he also loves to brag. So are salaries of his many cronies working in Ukraine. He brought with him to Odessa and Kiev various members of his Georgian administration, all wanted in Georgia on various charges, all rabidly Russophobic and all US agents of different caliber. Below in this report you will learn all about what games Saakashvili is playing and why US installed him in Odessa.
Meet:
International criminal, ex-president of Georgia and US agent, Mikhail Saakashvili
Governor of Odessa 2015 - 2017
Saakashvili became governor of Odessa Oblast (exact title in Rus/Ukr: Head of the Odessa Oblast Administration) in 2015. In Ukraine governors are appointed by president, not elected. It was widely known that Poroshenko got direct order from US ambassador Payet and US VP Joe Biden to appoint Saakashvili. Many scratched their heads why.
Georgians ousted Saakashvili; his losing 1/3 of the country after his ill-fated incursion into S. Ossetia and Abkhazia in 2008 played a major role in that. He is universally hated in his own country, where he is wanted on major corruption and state treason charges. He fled to the US, where he lived for a while in the Hasidic Jewish area of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He applied for green card, but under international pressure US refused it. Without green card and work permit US quietly squeezed him out of the country, together with his cronies.
The reason for that was to keep Georgia reasonably happy. Georgia continued insisting US must extradite Saakashvili for trial. To take themselves out of the equation, instead, US found a cozy job for Saakashvili in Odessa.
The new Georgian government is still chummy with US. Existing Georgian elites aren't much different from previous ones, even though they call themselves Saakashvili's opposition. They still went to the same US schools or attended the same US State Dept propaganda programs. US bases are still located in Georgia and the country is till overburdened with loans borrowed by Saakashvili from US. Apart from loans, US bases and some superficial cosmetic changes, the country can't boast of any achievements for the past 24 years of independence from Russia.
This government is a little more reasonable and possible to talk to, compared to that of Saakashvili; Russophobia is down and certain cultural historic ties, broken by US and Saakashvili, are being re-established. I personally was never a fan of Georgia and Georgians, but many in Russia have a romanticized view of that area and can't wait for the relationship to get back to normal. One of the reasons: Russians really like Georgian food, wine and song, and they miss it. These things are slowly making their way back to Russian market. I also hear that simple Georgians say they never stopped being in favor of Russia and that it was only the elites that made them quarrel.
This is something to keep in mind for Ukraine. One day Ukrainians from all over, I bet even from western Ukraine, will be beating themselves in the chest, swearing that they were always pro-Russian and it was only the evil Poroshenko, Yatsenyuk, Kolomoysky and USA that made them hate Russia. This will eventually happen. We just have to get through this extremely unpleasant patch.
After being denied US residency, Saakashvili had very few options. At that point Interpol was also after him. The funny thing is that it was well known where exactly he lived in the US (Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY) and his pics riding a bike there were published in various newspapers. If Interpol really wanted to arrest him, there was no problem finding him.
But it was getting more and more difficult to explain how come he was still at large. So, US decided he would be much more useful in Ukraine. Incidentally, some of the infamous snipers that shot police and protesters during Kiev Maidan were Georgians from Saakashvili's team.
When US informed Saakashvili his next assignment would be Odessa, he couldn't really be picky. Sooner or later, without a valid US visa, he was bound to be deported. It was much better to accept the governorship. It appears Poroshenko thought that by giving Saakashvili a 'home' he would have a loyal and grateful supporter he could always rely upon. After all, they were united in their Russophobia and desire to serve US.
LR NOTES: Poroshenko quickly gave Saakashvili Ukraine citizenship. As soon as Saakashvili obtained Ukraine citizenship, Georgia canceled his Georgian citizenship. Saakashvili got his, along with a number of other Georgians, Lithuanians, what not. The most infamous of these 'ministers' for hire is Natalie Jareska, a US citizen of western Ukrainian roots, who is Ukraine's finance minister. Under her, Ukraine's finances have taken an even bigger nose dive than before. Despite that she is favored for the position of the new PM of Ukraine, after Yatsenyuk leaves - if he leaves. I personally doubt they will let Yatsenyuk go that easily since he is designated as one of the scapegoats. Along with the hastily given to her Ukrainian citizenship, Jareska holds US citizenship in direct violation of Ukraine law.
But Poroshenko didn't know Saakashvili. First, the new governor began firing and hiring heads of oblast's departments and services, such as police, customs, etc., which was above his pay grade. He began 'fighting corruption,' or rather very noisily promoting himself as the one and only in Ukraine fighter against corruption. Saakashvili is a very talented self-promoter and talker. His flamboyantly fiery personality immediately made him popular among those duped Ukrainians who were desperate for change and who gave up expecting their elites abandoning corruption. Saakashvili began yelling and screaming everywhere that he will fight corruption 'in his Ukraine,' exposing high-level crooks and doing all kinds of other PR stunts. He began making Kiev elites feel very uncomfortable. He went as far as personally, face to face accusing PM Yatsenyuk and Interior Minister Avakov in corruption. Eventually, he went as far as criticizing and accusing Poroshenko himself. The problem with this kind of behavior is that he was discrediting the entire top of the 'new' Ukraine, and they couldn't stand it. Was this one of his missions in Ukraine, or did he take it upon himself, being his usual confrontational, self-promoting and arrogant self? I think, a bit of both. US knows how to play this prideful clown without being obvious.
Initially, there was a lot of speculation that Saakashvili was being prepared for the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine, to replace Yatsenyuk. Speculations went as far as suggesting he was groomed as the next US-installed president of Ukraine. Then, Saakashvili began stepping on too many toes, clearly feeling very well protected by his US sponsors. His relationship with Poroshenko went downhill, who regretted more than once giving him Odessa Oblast.
Recently, Saakashvili arrogantly remarked that post of Ukraine PM or president isn't good enough for him; that he is aiming for more than that. Many were puzzled by his outburst, while quite a few were offended by it. The ousted ex-president of tiny and backwards Georgia, wanted by Interpol and given Odessa governorship and Ukraine citizenship out of the 'goodness of their hearts' says Ukraine's top posts aren't good enough for him?
The scandalous Saakashvili managed to antagonize just about everyone in Ukraine and Odessa elites. But he is still sitting pretty in his governor's chair. What he has going for him is aggressive Georgian arrogance, relentless self-promotion, support of ukro-nazis in Odessa and beyond, and serious backing by his Transatlantic bosses. Saakashvili is very much supported by Ukraine radicals and fascist of all shades.
In May 2015 Odessa had local mayoral elections. While governor is appointed by Kiev, mayors are actually elected according to the new law, based on Minsk agreements and designed to promote local self-governing. Saakashvili did everything to promote his man. But it was clear from the start that Odessity (Odessans) deprived from electing their own governor, would protest the only way they could: by electing someone else. There was no candidate who would truly express people's will, therefore, they had to vote for lesser of all evils.
Mayor elect, Gannady Trukhanov, represents Odessa elites that are in a quiet, clandestine conflict with Saakashvili. Mayor of Odessa website, with Trukhanov's pic and bio, which is quite illuminating.
People in the know say that he represents local elites that are neither pro-Russian nor pro-Kiev junta. Rather, these are the people who care about their city, have a lot invested in it and who plan to live in it together with their children and grandchildren. They see what Saakashvili, ukro-nazis and Kiev junta are doing to it. These people want to salvage what they can for future generations, but they can't afford to clash with Saakashvili, Kiev and ukro-nazis who have taken over the city. Therefore, they will be doing it slowly and quietly, waiting for the right time to change things.
I have to say that this is Odessa's style. As I said in my Odessa article, 'Odessans are lovers and trader, not fighters.' They won't fight directly like the miners of Donbass; Odessa is not like Crimea either. But what Odessa has is patience and ability to wait for the right moment to act.
During elections Saakashvili had a complete grip on all administrative resources, including electoral, media and PR, police and ukro-nazi battalions. Despite all that, candidate he and Kiev backed received less than one half of the votes the Trukhanov received. After election went wrong, Saakashvili was livid. He went public threatening Trukhanov and anyone he would find was supporting him; he tried to protests election results in court, saying they were falsified (he had control of elections and all media/PR capabilities, and yet election was falsified?) He also rallied around him all ukro-nazis and radicals that infiltrated Odessa, threatening another May 2, 2014 (the day of the Kulikovo Polie massacre, when 40+ people were burned alive, many arrested for peaceful protests and many had to flee the country).
However, none of that worked. Very quietly, keeping their heads down, Odessity (Odessans) showed Saakashvili and ukro-nazis what they really think about them.
Georgians ousted Saakashvili; his losing 1/3 of the country after his ill-fated incursion into S. Ossetia and Abkhazia in 2008 played a major role in that. Lada Ray prediction regarding the future of Odessa
This is why on top of this segment I marked Saakashvili's governorship as 2015-2017. I know it is only March 2016.
If you thought that was a typo - not at all. I foresee him being booted out in a year and a few months time.
Until then the situation won't be pleasant: it will continue being tense, depressing and dangerous. And even after Saakashvili is out, it will take some time longer to boot out ukro-nazis and other invaders. It will be hard, but it will eventually happen. How soon after 2017 - depends on many factors, including US actions in Ukraine and worldwide. Stay tuned for more Earth Shift Reports as the situation develops!
Below are two short videos to illustrate the point:
Video 1: The head of Odessa ultras and fascists announces that 'they haven't gotten to everyone on May 2 and that they will get to the rest soon' (reference to May 2, 2014 Kulikovo Polie massacre, when scores of unarmed people were burned alive or finished off in cold blood). Next, the official representative of Ukraine President Poroshenko as Odessa Oblast governor, and USA's top agent in Ukraine Mikhail Saakashvili, speaks at the meeting of the Odessa ukro-nazis. In this meeting Saakashvili first threatens that mayoral elections aren't over and that those who voted for Trukhanov would be sorry.
Video 2: Saakashvili and Trukhanov speak at the inauguration of the new police force in Odessa.
Below you will be able to watch the 'Surgical Refuse' video and read its translation. In the video, the whistleblower complains that the ukro-nazi junta fired all the old policemen, and those still left on the force are scared to do their job due to personal life threats from bands of armed and deranged thugs roaming the country. Odessa, used to its own, low-key way of doing things, is in shock over it.
The new 'police,' proudly outfitted in the most fashionable law enforcement rags by Saakashvili, using American money (of which he constantly brags), is inept and ignorant. Saakashvili also bragged that he got US to send AMERICAN POLICE instructors to train the 'new Ukraine and Odessa police.' If American instructors are training Ukraine police - that alone gives you an idea what will happen as a result! See my FT post: Damning Evidence: “No Feelings.” How US Advisors Teach Ukrainians to Be Killing Machines!
Most of the new policemen are hired either from the lower classes of western Ukraine, or from the national guard, armed ukro-nazi bands and battalions. They obviously have no proper police training and they have no understanding or mentality of Odessa citizens. They know two thing: 1. How to kill and threaten; 2. Odessa belongs to them.
On video 2 you will see Saakashvili reading his speech, congratulating he new police force in Ukrainian. The event is happening on Odessa's famous Primorsky Boulevard, with the backdrop of the Potemkinskaya Steps and Odessa Port below - all of that, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Saakashvili is greeted with a storm of applause. Next, mayor elect of Odessa Trukhanov (the bald man) says his speech, which he only begins in Ukrainian, but than promptly switches to Russian, while being booed by the crowd. Why is all this significant? It confirms what I said above: Odessa has been taken over by dangerous criminals and armed ukro-nazi thugs from Georgia and Western Ukraine, possibly from other countries, too.
No self-respecting real Odessa citizen would ever speak Ukrainian. Only Russian - always - is spoken in Odessa. We can see that Trukhanov is really from Odessa and he caters to Odessity (Odessans), not to foreign invaders, as these are perceived in Odessa. And we also see that the police force and those surrounding Saakashvili are NOT locals; Saakashvili flatters them by speaking in Ukrainian. In other words, this is a blatant takeover of Odessa by foreign invasion. As is also visible from this video, this is an artificial attempt to Ukrainize Odessa. The same is happening to the rest of Ukraine.

Wrap-up and assessment: If referendum to join Russia was held today in Odessa...
An average person is very afraid and distrustful of police, Saakashvili and Kiev; Odessity feel under occupation and discontent has been brewing very deeply. Because people are so scared of being kidnapped, jailed or killed, they are silent. Their real feeling only come out on special days: All-Russian-World Victory Day on May 9 in Odessa gathered 40,000+ people, who came out with banned Georgievskaya Lentochkas and Soviet banners. See my post MOLDOVA and ODESSA: Hundreds of Thousands Come Out for May 9 #Victory70 Celebrations Despite Attempts to Ban Holiday.
I must say Trukhanov has nerves of steel. If you read his bio linked above, you'll see why. The intimidation and threats against him and others, trying to keep the city alive and kicking while these thugs do everything to destroy it, is extremely serious. I'll repeat again that Trukhanov is the representative of Odessa elites, who aren't pro-Russian per se, and who are attempting to sit on two chairs at once. They may be slippery, but this is the best chance Odessa has to be preserved. Only these kinds of wheeling-and-dealing, slippery people can stay in power without being killed. These are at least the people who care about their city, its history, traditions and people. In the dire situation as it is, they are the only chance of Odessa's survival. There will be another time and other people. But that will happen years from now. The mess in my beloved Odessa, as well as Nikolaev and Kherson, also dear to my heart, will get worse before it gets better. But eventually, slowly and tediously, it WILL get better. I will talk about the chocking things going on in the formerly peaceful Kherson in the next report: ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA.
Many In Odessa and throughout the entire south Russia (Black Sea coast and surrounding areas) can't wait to be liberated by Russia or DLNR. If a referendum was to be held today, I can guarantee that 90% of Odessa citizens would vote to either join Russia, or to join Customs/Eurasian Union. These numbers are rather similar to 2014 Crimean and Donbass referendum numbers.
Further down in this report we'll talk about Moldova, Pridnestrovie and Gagauzia, as well as their real referendum outcomes - referendums that already took place, but which are being ignored by 'civilized' world.

Throughout this report I offer you a challenge:
Let's solve this puzzle! Why is Saakashvili so cocky with Kiev elites he seemingly should be grateful to? Why did he say he was aiming higher than the post of Ukraine PM, or even president?
The answer to these questions will bring us to the very heart of the issue: why is Black Sea so important geopolitically?
Why are there so much struggle and competition around Black Sea?
Why is US so intent on turning Odessa into its mega-base?

Sci-fi or horror movie?
Surreal 'Surgical Refuse' cemetery near Odessa for Ukraine army ATO
& illegal organ trade to EU
Whistleblower video proof, commentary and my step-by-step English translation
In February 2016, an ordinary citizen of Odessa by pure accident stumbled upon a shocking discovery. Driving in the out of the way, hidden section of a cemetery located near Odessa, he found a strange field with hundreds, or possibly thousands, of unmarked mounds of fresh earth each the size of a human. Carelessly thrown on top of each mound were identical cement plaques with words 'surgical refuse.' He took pictures and recorded a video of his discovery. Then he posted the video on his YouTube channel with comments that it was found near Odessa and that it is suspected to be a secret cemetery of ATO soldiers, who were killed in Kiev regime's operations in Donbass. It proved, the blogger said, that Kiev was lying about the real magnitude of losses in Donbass war and that authorities were trying to hide them. This, in turn, means that many of those who are waiting for their sons, fathers and husbands to return, are waiting in vain.
The alternative theory is that this cemetery is the gruesome result of the black market organ trade. Illegal organ trade is flourishing in Ukraine, EU being the biggest customer. Saakashvili and his wife, along with all their Georgian cronies imported to Ukraine and Odessa are believed to be at the helm of the illegal organ trade ring. It is suspected that some of the organs come from wounded ATO soldiers, and others from kidnapped or arrested civilians. It appears the poor dupes' bodies all end up at this cemetery.
It has to be noted that the investigation and documenting of the Kiev regime crimes continues actively all over Ukraine. One day all that will be presented at the international war crimes tribunal.
The video went viral and generated lots of reposts. At the same time, there was a backlash from Ukraine nationalists and ukro-nazis. One such 'Ukrainian patriot' commented under video that it was a fake and that in reality he knew the place portrayed, and it was... Rostov-on-Don, Russia - not Odessa, Ukraine. (Notice, Rostov again! Ukro-nazis really have it in for Rostov. Read why here: Breaking! Suspicious #Flydubai Boeing-737 Crash in Rostov-on-Don Raises Red Flags).
Simultaneously, the original whistleblower video disappeared from YouTube.
Then Ukrainian TV, without permission, aired video footage by the Odessa whistleblower with this commentary:
Recently a secret cemetery was discovered near Rostov, Russia. It is for RUSSIAN soldiers killed by the brave UKRAINIAN army during Russian invasion of Donbass.
For our whistleblower this was the final straw. He didn't begrudge his time, gas money and the fee of two grivnas to attend the cemetery, in order to prove the veracity of his investigative material. He got into his car and drove there. He used his dash cam to record a video, proving that he was in Odessa Oblast, along the way commenting on road signs and various landmarks. Then he drove into cemetery, asking multiple times for confirmation that he was in Odessa. Then he proceeded to the hidden field, where he again filmed the surgical refuse mounds. This time the field of strange mounds became substantially bigger, with many new human-sized mounds added. "Surgical refuse" signs were still strewn all over the place. On some of the mounds he noticed newly set up crosses, wreaths and name plaques.
Below you can see this third (or fourth) video of the whistleblower proving the existence of the cemetery. I have translated the entire commentary, with my clarifications. In the translation below I've included time markers to help you orient yourself in the video.

Whistleblower's Surgical Refuse cemetery trip - FULL TRANSLATION:
0:01 "Good day, everyone - all normal people, that is. I am not including those who are not normal, who aren't fully there...
Today is February 23, 2016. Time 14:08. The topic of this video is proof of my first videos in which I had shown the cemetery with buried 'surgical refuse' (LR: RUS: hirurgicheskie othodi).
Those people who really want to know the truth, they usually follow up. They don't... how do I say it... just deny. Sure, I get it, you don't want to see it, it's unpleasant. But I film what I see. I have no reason to lie. I'm not a politician, I don't make any money off this. I just feel awful for people who are being lied to, who are being killed. One group kills the other group, and those others return the favor by killing them back.
Why am I going back again? Umm... I received a comment from someone with YT name 'Union of Pridnestrovie and Ukraine.' I have absolutely no idea what Pridnestrovie or Moldova have to do with this. I see a lot of people freely walking around with Georgievskaya Bands in Moldova and Pridnestrovie, where it's a symbol of the Great Victory, not of Putin. But this is another topic.
I want to read the comment from this 'svidomiy' (LR: aka, ukro-nazi).
(LR: basically, I described what the comment was about. Won't translate verbatim as there is a lot of ugly cursing by ukro-nazi in question. In the end of comment the whistleblower is being called Putin's .... and other names.)
Ok, let's go and prove that it's Odessa. First of, we are on Leningradskoe Shosse, which isn't the name of a highway. It's simply an address. Right now we are at Leningradskoe Shosse 23. This is the way out of the city.
At 3:18 shows sign ODESSA crossed over in red, which means: exiting Odessa. Further sign in blue: Beliaevskiy Region (LR: can confirm, it's near Odessa).
(LR: Sorry, people, this guy seems to get more and more heated up and starts swearing):
Now, 'svidomiy,' we are slowly moving toward our target, while you 'svidomiy' watch how we pass road signs and what country's license plates the passing cars carry. Watch carefully, because I am filming this just for you. Hate crazy imbeciles such as yourself, simply can't stand them. They f*** you over and over, and you are so blind ... f***... that the only thing you can say is... f***... that Putin..... is to .... blame for everything. I swear, Putin is like your god, you all are obsessed with him. You should really make sure he lasts as long as possible, because if he isn't there who would you blame for your screw ups?
Besides stupid robotic repetition...f*** (LR: going forward, I'll skip these colorful words)... of lies you are incapable of anything else. I am giving you direct proof of the truth and you refuse to believe it. You only want to believe in what TV shows you. Sure, recognizing what I have shown you as truth means recognition that you are a total idiot. But sorry to say, it's because of idiots like yourself that people die. Some die because they have been duped and others die because these silly dupes have killed them. And all people wanted in Donbass or elsewhere was to have their own voice.
On May 2 I was on Kulikovo Polie (LR: reference to Odessa massacre of May 2, 2014, when scores were burned alive). There were no Russians or Pridnestrovians there. There were only citizens of Odessa, those who wanted to have the right to speak their opinion. I was on Kulikovo Polie before May 2 as well, and there were no people there who wanted to separate from Ukraine. People just wanted to be heard.
(LR: before May 2, 2014, Kulikovo Polie, the main square of Odessa located not far from my childhood home, housed a tent city of those who protested the Kiev Maidan and who wanted the right to speak Russian language, study Russian culture and join Customs Union with Russia. It was a decidedly peaceful protest and no one there had a gun. On May 2 two thousand armed ukro-nazi thugs descended on the city. They attacked the tent city, destroyed tents, chased the protesters into the building of the Trade Unions in the center of square and burned the building, together with everyone who was stuck inside. People were jumping out and they chased them and finished them off. Many were either finished off inside or outside the building. Among the victims were the unsuspecting employees, mostly women, who worked in the building. The massacre was filmed by ukro-nazis with glee. After the event, many surviving victims were arrested and some are still kept in jail. Investigation was sabotaged and none of the ukro-nazis and organizers were arrested, despite lots of video footage and known sponsors, such as oligarch Kolomoysky and interior minister Arsen Avakov.)
People wanted to be not with EU, but with Customs Union and closer to Russia. Why? Because we all have relatives and friends there and Russians are our brothers.
LR: 5:55 just passed sign "Mercedes-Benz AutoDim Odessa.''
Hey, tell me, how many relatives do you have in the US? And now, how many in Russia? We all have them. So, why those who want to be with EU have all the rights and those who want to be with Eurasian Union have none? It was very convenient to label them separatists so to suppress their inconvenient for the EU agenda voice.
This is Clover Bridge. Telling you all this so it's not so boring to drive. Not too far now. Now follow me carefully. See sign: 'Kuchurgany.' See it says: 'Odessa 2 km?'
Riding on. So, you, the 'union of Ukraine and Pridnestrovie.' Nice name, by the way, but boy what an idiot is hiding behind it... You aren't the first who calls me 'Putin's agent' and tells me that the cemetery is in Rostov. My video about that cemetery was stolen by Ukraine TV. Saw it in their news and they said it was Rostov. I almost broke my TV.
At 7:55. There is cemetery upfront on the other side. The only thing, we will have to go to Twin Poles... See Odessa license plate on this truck we are passing?...That's right. Read billboards and signs: Tiraspol Highway 22 (LR: Tiraspol is the capital of Pridnestrovie, which borders Odessa Oblast to the west) ... Twin Poles market...
8:40. Cemetery is now on the left. But we don't want to break the rules - double line here - so we will just drive a little further. See, 'svidomiy' how generous I am to you: wasting so much gas on this trip. It's worth it proving to imbeciles such as yourself how wrong you are. Ah, look (at 9:00), this one just broke traffic law, crossed the double line. Oh well, Ukraine is Europe, as you all say. Yes, Europe, right, kid? It got so bad in Ukraine that one can't drive in peace any more. Sure, traffic cops were corrupt, but at least drivers were afraid of them and didn't break the law out of fear. Now that you fired them all everyone drives the way they want, no traffic rules, no law for anyone anymore.
9:30 Here is Twin Poles. Those other turns are to Mayaki, Ovidiopol, 7th Kilometer, Lenposelok... Here is Uspekh wholesale market for construction materials and such. Of course now this market is empty, with your 'revolution of dignity' people can't afford anything. Ok... now we see an ad from Nikolaev (LR: Nikolaev Oblast borders Odessa Oblast to the east).
10:45 Arriving at the entrance to the cemetery. See, this car has Odessa plates. Next one, as well.
11:00. Now this man will want me to pay up. Because of you, I have to part with 2 grivnas, f***...
-Good day. What is the address of this cemetery?
-Tiraspol Shosse 22A.
-This is Odessa, right?
-Yes, yes, Odessa.
-Good.
-This is the territory of the former Odessa Airport. Called Tiraspol Shosse, because Tirasopl is that way.
-Good, thank you very much.
11:45. Oh, sorry - a dog crossing...
Ok, so now we are clear, I hope, on the location. He took my 2 grivnas and gave me info needed. (LR: more exasperated swearing, which I will skip, towards the obtuse ukro-nazi, author of the offending comment...)
12:00 (LR: driving through cemetery) What kind of jungle were you born in, 'svidomiy'? Or is it the influence of drugs and alcohol that turned you all into idiots? What happened to all of you in the short 23 years (LR: since USSR breakup). How could everything get so screwed up? Why are people now so obtuse?
12:38. Ok, cemetery's central part. Where I'd filmed, it was very far from the central part... Oh, turned too early... Clearly, they won't do it in plain view of everyone.
Incidentally, my first time there, I noticed that the surgical refuse cemetery was the size of a football (LR: US: soccer) field. My second time there it was three times as big. Let's see how much bigger it will be this time.
14:00. Let's go faster.
14:15. Oh-oh, asphalt ended, better slow down. Ok, this is the hedge.
Let's ask this man.
-Good day. Tell me, what is the name of this cemetery?
-Zahidne Kladbishche (UKR: Western Cemetery).
-Zahidne Cemetery of Odessa?
-Yes, it is. Didn't you see the sign?
-I missed it.
-Maybe you want Evreyskoe (LR:Jewish) Cemetery?
-No, no, I'm good.
15:05 (LR: getting off the dirt road into an almost untraveled section.) I hope this is enough geographic markers for you? 'Ukraine is still not dead' ....f***... (LR: these are the first words of the new Ukrainian anthem - and no, I'm not kidding).
15:42. Ok, the road is very bad here, hardly drivable... Clearly, they don't want people to find it... Need an all-terrain here.
Totally forgot: today's our holiday. Happy Holiday to all real men! This doesn't apply to murderers, of course.
We can say that today is our very own men's March 8.
(LR: February 23 in the Soviet Union was called the day of the Soviet Army, usually celebrated as a universal Men's Day. In today's Russia it is called the Day of the Defender of the Motherland. February 23 continues being celebrated in all post-Soviet republics, despite various bans and prohibitions in places like Ukraine and Baltics. March 8 is, of course, the International Women's Day, widely celebrated in all post-Soviet republics. See my March 8 posts.)
16:20. Oh, boy, hard to drive. As I said, there is a depot over there...
Let's see what's new. Fresh holes, just dug up. I see some are finding their missing relatives and buried 'appendixes' and start putting up crosses.
16:55. Here we are. As I said, more have been added. More, much more...
Chilling stuff... I won't turn off the camera because my battery is de-charging...Want to keep it going as long as possible.
18:05 Ok, let's get a close-up. 'Surgical refuse, surgical refuse, surgical refuse... and the whole field like this. As you see, some are finding their 'appendixes' and putting up crosses.
18:35. This is the old part I filmed the first time. Now, the whole cemetery much grown since then. So, Rostov, right?
Wishing everyone well and one more time, Happy Holiday! And you, 'svidomiy,' go see a psychiatrist.
Good bye, all.

In the East we have Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkov Oblasts. All that is marked in red was most likely to secede from Ukraine at the time. We know that Crimea dd secede, as did Donetsk and Lugansk, but only partially and with a war. Odessa and Kharkov resistance was squashed and eliminated, while Kherson now suffers under ukro-nazi and Mejlis/Turkish/ISIS occupation (this will be discussed in ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA)

'Shadow CIA' Stratfor and George Freedman:
Plan to Isolate and Destroy Russia in Order to Open Gates for Global Takeover
Who is George Friedman
Who doesn't know Stratfor, dubbed the 'shadow CIA.' Stratfor's clients range from Israel to the USA government. To be sure, Freedman is Jewish himself, and yes, he is a rabid American Zionist and Russophobe. In fact, he is from the same crop as Soros and Spielberg. But I hear that Israel may have either fired or reduced reliance of Stratfor's prognoses, which proved unreliable and often harmful to those who followed them. I talk about Israel's change of priorities and re-orientation away from the US and West in ESR5 and ESR6. In ESR6 I also talk about how the biggest Zionists actually reside in the USA.
As it is, Stratfor's main client is just the US, its government, CIA, State Dept and other branches of American power and influence. In fact, it was Freedman who outlined in mid-2000s the strategy that led to the present disaster and fascist takeover of Ukraine.
Since then, smart governments began distancing themselves from Stratfor and Freedman in favor of better analysts. In fact, my prediction is that we are about to witness the waning of Stratfor's influence, especially after the strategy I will talk about here backfires terribly on the USA. This is a matter of a few years and then it will be visible to all.
Alas, those like Friedman are slippery snakes and they know how to get out of tight spots very well. He'll undoubtedly manage to slither his way out of what's coming his way. Pity, I think he should be tried by an international tribunal.
Turkey and Poland emerging superpowers; Russia gone: Friedman's predictions
In mid-2000s, when Russia was still recovering from the devastatingly destructive 1990s, Stratfor's infamous head George Freedman unveiled the US Eurasian strategy, directed against Russia. The goal was to do away with Russia as the only power capable of resisting and stopping US global aggression and world takeover.
Sometime in mid to late 2000s, Friedman went public, parading everywhere his 'prediction.' The prediction was that Poland and Turkey are the new, emerging superpowers and will become such soon, eclipsing Russia. According to Friedman, it will be between Ankara, Warsaw and Beijing that the future of Eurasia will be decided. Of course, in his 'prognosis' Russia would cease to exist within 20 years. Many people were influenced greatly by his words, which were trumpeted everywhere. He was getting prime time and many so-called 'analysts' began making their own 'projections' based on his assumptions.
Needless to say, based on Friedman's plan, USA began acting accordingly. Poland was being buffed up with lots of Western loans, to help it grow into today's version of Hitler's Germany. The last 10 or more years also saw a relentless advance of rabid Russophobia in Poland. Poland's unfulfilled pride and a sense of historic spites from being a failed medieval empire were skillfully stoked. MSM and PR campaigns worked overtime. The leaders that were crazy nationalists, Russophobes and just angry at the whole world for their country's failures and unfulfilled ambitions were pushed the the top.
Of course, Friedman's plan was directed not only against Russia, but also against Germany and for Poland to be anti-German was also part of the plan. Let's recall that since 19th century the quickly growing Germany was the enemy and had to be weakened. Unlike Russia, who needed to be destroyed, and its lands and riches to be taken over by the West, Germany needed to be just stunted. The plan resulted in WWI, then WWII, followed by the division of Germany, until one day it became an obedient vassal of the US.
By the beginning of 2000s, Germany began making strides towards close relations with Russia, and through Russia, with Asia and China. That was dangerous and it had to be stopped. A wedge had to be put between Russia and Germany, Russia and EU, before they managed to re-unite Eurasia, as Putin proposed in mid-2000s.
As we can see, today's US government's actions against Russia are based squarely on Friedman's 'prognosis' and his mega-plan. All these sanctions, provoking Russia into armed conflict with Ukraine, attempting to stoke revolt inside Russia by financing opposition and secret anti-government groups, terror acts, dropping the ruble and sanctioning Russian economy, and much more.
Baltic-Black Sea Plan
Many may scratch their heads at the news that Poland and Turkey were designated for the roles of new superpowers. Of course Friedman didn't honestly think they really would become ones. It was said for the audience. The real plan was this: to inflate the egos of Polish and Turkish elites, make them think they were more important then they really were. Both Poland and Turkey once had expansive and failed empires. Turkey is the remnant of the Ottoman Empire (read all about it in ESR7: TURKISH CONUNDRUM). Poland once had a failed empire called Rech Pospolita, which at one point included large parts of what is now Ukraine and Belarus, all of Lithuania, parts of Slovakia and Czechia. At one point Poland even attempted to take over Russia and install its own king in Moscow (in Russia that time is called the 'Time of Troubles'). More about Poland and Rech Pospolita in ESR2).
Playing on ambitions and unfulfilled pride of elites and populace, Friedman outlined the plan on how to isolate Russia. In my own words, we are talking about Stratfor's Baltic - Black Sea Plan.
According to the plan, an impenetrable cordon - a new IRON CURTAIN - must be created between Western Europe, specifically Russia's most promising economic partners Germany and Austria, and Russia. This new Iron Curtain, stretching across the entire length of Europe from the Baltic to Black Sea, would involve: the Baltics (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), Poland, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. More countries were supposed to be included, such as Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Balkans (former Yugoslavia). But that's where they began stumbling upon resistance. It turned out that some of these countries either didn't want a part of it, such as Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary, or were secretly or openly pro-Russian, such as Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
But the 'A list' was more than enough and they set to work. In this report we will talk about various countries on the list. But for now, let's concentrate on the four or five that were the main participants of the plan, who were convenient dupes and willing scapegoats. These are Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania.
Poland's kings, Brothers Kachinski. Russophobia and imperial ambitions. The Smolensk crash and its consequences.
The weird-looking, puffed up twins, brothers Kachinski, ruled the country as president and prime minister for a while. One Kachinski, who was Poland's president, died several years ago in a plane crash near Smolensk, Russia, together with 96 other Polish top bras. One would have thought that it was a terror act - someone wanted to do away with the entire top of Polish political and military elites. Conveniently, the plane crashed in Russia, and of course, Russia was blamed.
However, Russian investigation proved exhaustively that Kachinski and top generals on board were drunk and constantly interfered in pilot's work; the door into cockpit was open and there was constant chatter that distracted pilots. Beer and such were offered around; in fact, in the black box recording just before the crash the flight attendant is heard asking pilots if they wanted beer. It was a party on board, while the weather conditions on the ground worsened and other planes were re-routed to another airport. Polish pilot wanted to get re-routed as well. But the top bras on board all thought they knew better how to fly a plane and, as head in the recording, they all gave their advice and commands to the pilot (and no Polish jokes, please).
The pilot is heard on tape threatened by top general on board and pressured to land immediately. Despite clear evidence of the president and top military on board pressuring the pilot to commit an error, Poland immediately accused Russia of killing the entire top of their state. In fact, it was a very humiliating situation for Poland. The entire top of state, including president, parliament speaker, most top generals and scores of key ministers flying together in one plane... Elementary commons sense would tell us something like this just isn't done. No country in their right mind would ever do that, unless someone inside that country wanted to get rid of all of them together. It spoke of stupidity and inadequacy of the Polish elites.
But instead of recognizing this fact, learning the harsh lesson and moving on with new wisdom, Poles preferred to revert back to their usual sulking, hateful nationalism and Russophobia. This awkward situation was used to further stoke irrational hatred against Russia in Poland. The remaining Kachinski twin, became even more Russophobic, if at all possible. He isn't prime minister any more. But an interesting phenomenon is observed in Poland by those in the know: Kachinski is now sort of like the 'father of the nation.' He has become the shadow ruler of Poland. Despite holding no official title, he is the one meeting with leaders of various countries and striking deals that would later become formalized by those who hold official posts.
Actually, I know exactly what Poles have done and why. In their paranoia, they still think that someone did away with their president and top bras. As a result, they decided to 'castle their king' so to speak. Kachinski, their top ultra-nationalist ideologue and Russophobe has been removed from visible power and someone more expendable was put in his place. They think he is more protected this way and can execute the big plan of resurrecting the failed medieval Polish empire, Rech Pospolita, without interferences.
Poland's Cultural Cognitive Dissonance
Fast forward to 2013-14. Along with Lithuania's pro-West elites, Poland took the leading part in training ukro-nazi battalions, financing, MSM and political support of Kiev Maidan and Februray 22, 2014 coup. After that, they strongly supported in all possible ways the US-installed Ukraine government, Poroshenko and war in Donbass. They still support it through Europarliament and such.
It has to be noted that Poland hoped to take active part in a dismemberment of Ukraine. They at least wanted its western part, with Lvov as the main city. If they are really lucky - they wouldn't have minded most of Ukraine. 100,000 or more restitution property claims have been filed by Polish citizens. But lately, after they saw for themselves how violent ukro-nazis they had created and supported can be, Poles got scared.
What I hear from Poles is that they still want Lvov, but only 'if they can have it without people.' This, incidentally, is a quote from the same Jakob Kureiba, Polish journalist whom I mentioned in the beginning of this report.
I have said that Poland, like Turkey is exceptionally easy to manipulate in order to harm neighboring countries, fist of all, Russia. At the root of the problem are historic slights and spites that Poles carry with them generation after generation. This is exactly why Poland is so easy to manipulate for those who want Russia weakened and destroyed.
While being manipulated all the way, Poland believes that it's acting in its own interests. Being afraid of Russia, Poland honestly thinks that weakening, or better yet destroying Russia, will do Poland good. Poland also believes that creating anti-Russia out of Ukraine is a great idea because: 1. It weakens Russia, 2. It creates a buffer zone between Russia and Poland.
However, if we dig even deeper, I am convinced that these Polish fears and historic spites are in fact camouflaging a much deeper problem: I call it Cultural Cognitive Dissonance.
What is it? Poland has been a 'border state' for a long time. It demarcated an imaginary border between east and west, so to speak, Russia being east and what was after Poland on the other side - west, starting with Germany. Moreover, Poles are Slavs, close in mentality, culture and customs to Russia/Ukraine. Yet, they have been converted into Catholicism - a quintessentially Western religion. This together created a cultural confusion and cognitive dissonance that leads Poland to behave this way.
To truly understand what global role Russia serves, please read my new page on this site: RUSSIA - GLOBAL BALANCER. There is more about Russia's role in PREDICTIONS.
Ukraine's role in Friedman's plan
As part of this bigger plan, it is now clear why Ukraine was destabilized by Victoria Nuland and US ambassador Payet. Ukraine was to serve as the Iron Curtain cordon of hate, violence and animosity to keep Russia and Europe apart. Make no mistake, people! THIS IS THE REAL PLAN! I wrote a lot about that since 2014, trying to explain to everyone who would listen its actual deviousness.
Of course, this was the original plan, which included economic suffocation of Russia, political and social isolation, humiliation, population's loss of self-esteem and ensuing emotional depression, resulting in apathy and lack of defense mechanism. This was supposed to lead to subsequent disintegration of Russia as a country, thus opening a road to absolute dominance for the US over the planet.
You might say: depression, lack of self-esteem of the population could lead to all THIS?!
Absolutely! Don't ever underestimate mass psychology! We often talk about the psychology of leaders and of the masses in my blog and reports. Pushing buttons and pulling strings based on psychological triggers to achieve their own geopolitical goals has been one of the biggest achievements of Anglo-American culture.
In Russia's case, this already happened more than once, so Stratfor wasn't really inventing any new wheels. It was just following the trusty old playbook. In 1917 Russian Empire seemingly disintegrated at the seems and tsar was deposed without any logical or fundamental reason. This led to revolution, civil war and a very difficult rebuilding process.
In 1991, USSR disintegrated, also without any reasonable economic explanation, resulting in the destructive '90s. In both cases the reason was the population's apathy, loss of self-esteem and direction - not the real fundamentals. Russia plays a very specific role of the Great Balancer and Harmonizer of our planet. How this works and how Russians are wired is a long discussion. We will talk about it in one of my future reports.
Generally, you will find that little by little my Earth Shift Reports are forming into one whole structure, complimenting each other. Each report covers a specific topic, but these topis intersect, and the whole picture can be best understood by reading them sequentially.
People like Friedman and others, who usurped the power in the USA and the West, think not how to make life better for everyone. Day and night they think how to harm others in order to get some preferential conditions for their clique within their own 'country,' or the West in general, as they see it. This is their prime directive and the reason for existing. Thy have no empathy or mercy. It's not a part of their DNA.
In this case, Ukraine was supposed to be that lemon they would squeeze and throw out after it was fully spent. Their plan worked partially, and in some ways, too well: certain Russophobic western Ukraine fascists and other dupes were more than willing to serve as anti-Russia on Russian borders. Some were willing to destroy their economy and die for US interests, as long as they could harm Russia and get a nod from Uncle Sam. Certainly, this is a pathology that needs to be taken up with a doctor, as our Odessa whistleblower pointed out.
The next stage of this plan could have resulted in:
Plan A: open conflict between Russia and Ukraine, leading to tremendous weakening, devastation and new civil war in Russia (Ukraine in fact being a part of Russia).
Plan B: Ukraine could have become a part of Poland as a way to resurrect Rech Pospolita. At least, silly Poland was led to believe by the US that this outcome was possible and desirable.
Poland (plus, Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova and scores of others) should really brush off on very recent history. In 2008 Saakashvili also believed US that it was safe to attack S. Ossetia. As a result, S. Ossetia and Abkhazia seceded, relieving Georgia of 1/3 of its former territory; Saakashvili himself lost his presidency, his citizenship and is wanted on multiple charges in his country.
Turkey's role in Friedman's plan
Erdogan and Davutoglu should really heed the warnings of history as well. But they are incapable of that, being blinded by their unfulfilled ambitions, pride and perceived historic spites. They are moving towards the same sorry end as Saakashvili and Ukraine. The country is now in a state of virtual civil war, and Erdogan has absolutely no one to blame for it but himself, along with his gray cardinal Davutoglu.
(For the whole Turkey spread and for more on Erdogan and Davutoglu read ESR7:TURKISH CONUNDRUM. I will reveal some new crucial secrets and important intel on what Erdogan, Davutoglu and Turkey are really after in ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA.)
In this report I want to emphasize that Turkey was a big part of the Baltic - Black Sea plan. This is why their ego was being pumped up by leading them to believe through hints and implication that Turkey was a rising superpower. In a mind of an Ottoman Turk the glory of the Ottoman Empire, aka, Osmanic Caliphate, is what constituted being a superpower.
It is no wonder that Davutoglu's once obscure book Strategic Depth received a second life around 2007 or 2008. Suddenly, it came out as expanded, reworked and much bolder second edition. Suddenly, the second edition of this book became a point of great interest and study in the West, touting it as genius. In ESR7 I gave an example of how Bulgarian leader lauded this book, in fact an insidious plan to resurrect Ottoman Caliphate, in superlatives. Considering that Bulgaria was under brutal Ottoman slavery for centuries, it sounded quite strange, until one realized that Bulgaria is now under another occupation - that of the EU and US, its president is installed and the population has little say in its own country.
The reason for the free promo was to inflate the confidence and ego of Turkey and its leaders. They had to think they were invincible and indispensable. Russia saw what was happening and Putin tried to get Turkey to see reason and profit through cooperation on mutual energy projects, such as Turkish Stream, building a badly needed new electric power station in Turkey, very lucrative Russian tourism and trade, visa-free regime, and much more. But between common sense profit from mutual projects and deadly ambition and illegal oil smuggling resulting in loss and war with Kurds, Erdogan chose the latter. The only explanation for such crazy and incongruent behavior is that Erdogan lost touch with reality, having been pumped up by the US with ego-stroking promises of riches and new territories. We see now that Turkey is demanding that EU gives 5bln euros (3bln isn't enough) and visa-free regime in exchange for curbing migrant traffic to the EU.
Turkey is doing a lot more than that. The dangerous games Turkey plays around Crimea will be revealed in ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA.
In Friedman's plan Turkey was supposed to close off Black Sea straits, cutting off Russia and Russian fleet in Crimea from access to Mediterranean and further, world oceans. Turkey was also supposed to serve as barrier between Russia and other countries of the Middle East, including Syria. As we now see, this whole plan fell through, in part due to Erdogan's unpredictability, and in part due to Russia's swift and smart actions in Syria.
Stratfor Plan for Romania and Moldova
The plan for Romania was essentially a copy of the Polish plan. While Poles were pumped up with the hope of annexing most of Ukraine, while Romanians were pumped up in regards to Moldavia, Pridnestrovie and Odessa Oblast.
First, Romanians always had to be kept in a state of rabid Russophobia and ultra-nationalism. They had to be constantly reminded of old spites, real or imagined - normally the latter. Their falsified history books somehow came to a warped conclusion that Russia took away from them territories, including Moldova and Odessa and Odessa Oblast. Never mind that Moldova now was a separate state and Odessa/Odessa Oblast were under Ottoman Empire for centuries. The city of Odessa was built by Russians where Turkish fortress used to be. Never mind the obvious, that Odessa and other territories don't belong to Russia. The population was pumped with extreme psychosis and misplaced anger, which was easy to ignite due to Romanians' permanent dissatisfaction with their backwards country (I heard many complaints from Romanians who left and never looked back; as in Ukraine, the most normal, talented and smart didn't want to stay).
Never mind the truth - these people aren't interested in it. They needed to blame someone, and Russia was very convenient as a scapegoat for all their sins. Russia was offered to them by the US and West as that scapegoat they could all blame for all their mistakes and evil deeds - and they gladly took the bait.
Do you know where the expression 'scapegoat' comes from? In the old days ignorant villagers in the Middle East would pick a goat to whom they would 'transfer' all of their sins. After that they would take the poor innocent animal into a desert and leave it there to die. They believed that as the poor goat suffered and died, he took all of their sins with him and now they were sin free and able to sin again. A couple of things come to mind in regard to this barbaric custom. First: no wonder Middle East is in such bad shape. And second: Romania, Poland, Lithuania, western and Central Ukraine haven't evolved much past those old time villagers.
Therefore, Romania has been licking its lips, plotting to absorb Moldova. They were ready to go as early as 1990-1992, when Moldova's most developed part, Pridnestrovie broke their plans by seceding. Moldova army, commanded and equipped at the time by Romania, who was already counting Moldova as its province, attacked Pridnestrovie. Due to its vulnerable geographic position, the main battle raged around Bendery. Bendery, the quiet and charming little city of about 100,000 people is where my relatives lived. I can't even tell you how much I loved visiting it in the summer. It was my go-to destination for a relaxing vacation. I loved walking around its quiet streets, along the river, climbing on top of its old fortress, or hanging out in my uncle's shady yard. It was a city, yet people on streets smiled and said hi, as if you were in a village. And I can't describe to you the shock I experienced when I heard of Moldova-Romania army shelling all that peaceful beauty in 1992.
In the part dedicated to Pridnestrovie below, you'll read about what really happened in 1992 and how, unlike today in Donbass, Russia was able to stop planned genocide by sending troops.

How the Baltic - Black Sea Plan turned into
the Baltic - Black Sea - Caspian Plan
the Baltic - Black Sea - Caspian Plan
Complete Iron Curtain Fail: Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary rebel
It became clear that some of the original countries that were supposed to be involved in the Baltic - Black Sea Plan were less than enthusiastic. Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary, despite enormous pressure, refused to station parts of US AMDs on their territory. They said that they didn't want to become a target for Russian missiles.
Uncle Sam was extremely frustrated; Condoleezza Rice went back and forth, attempting to coerce and butter up the reluctant tools of anti-Russian war. Didn't these foolish little countries understand that that was exactly their role: to be that proverbial red to the Russian bull? Wasn't it their destiny to have a big red target written on them and to be targeted by Russia in response to AMDs on their territory? This was exactly the point: putting a wall of animosity and permanent distrust between close neighbors. Piling up more and more historic grievances on top of the old ones, so that European countries would never be able to come together.
But nothing helped. This was a serious blow to the US globalist agenda. Not being able to create a complete Iron Curtain in Europe, they moved their attention to Ukraine, Caucasus and the Middle East.
Plan B: how Caspian was added to Stratfor Plan
First, the Ukraine subversion plan had to be accelerated, and they set to work. At the same time, Middle East had to be destabilized as much as possible, which resulted in Libya and Syria events, followed by the spread of ISIS-Daesh and associated groups (Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Nusra).
At the same time, various attempts were made to destabilize the situation in Caucasus. One of the elements of the plan was the Saakashvili's attack on S. Ossetia in 2008. At the same time, North Caucasus suffered lots of terror attacks.
Turkey continued its slow, crawling takeover of the hearts and minds of Muslims through mosques and Muslim schools in the post-Soviet space, including Azerbaijan and Central Asia. Crimea was being worked on from several directions: Turkey - Muslim, Ukrainian and American/NATO (This topic will be discussed in ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA).
ISIS was being grown and supported in order to eventually, when conditions were ripe and the population sufficiently duped, unleash it on Caucasus and Central Asia. They would create chaos in Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and possibly even Kazakhstan. Essentially, the situation we see today in Ukraine was planned for the entire Caucasus and Central Asia as well.
From there, armed militants could penetrate through extremely porous borders into Russia proper. The most vulnerable was Russian north Caucasus, including Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan. But Siberia and Central Russia were also at risk. It was supposed to be an all out encircling of Russia with conflicts and invasion of dangerous armed militants. This, Stratfor postulated, would eventually lead to Russia's weakening and disintegration.
Breaking the remaining resistance in the Balkans: attempts to reformat Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bulgaria
At the same time, it was necessary to absorb the remaining sources of quiet resistance in the Balkans. This is why there was a color revolution attempt in Macedonia, specifically after Macedonian president made Russian relation its priority. The color revolution, which was ignited using Albanian/Muslim factor from across the border Kosovo, was simply turned on while Macedonian leader was visiting Moscow, and then, after Macedonia leadership got scared and retreated, this color revolution was just as quickly turned off.
Montenegro is being dragged into NATO kicking and screaming - literally. There are ongoing anti-NATO protests in Montenegro. (Since it's a Slavic, not Italian country, it's non-sensical to call it "Montenegro" - it's real name is "Chernogoria," which means the same - Black Mountain.) The most massive protests this little country has ever seen are happening against NATO every day and week for months now. Yet, the country is still being dragged in.
A somewhat similar situation is happening in Bulgaria, where people have been coming out for mass marches in several cities for over a year, every single week ( I had a post about that, with videos on FuturisTrendcast). These people protest against NATO, against war in Donbass and Kiev junta, against US/NATO ships using Bulgarian ports for entry into Black Sea and they also speak up for peace and better relations with Russia. However, their pro-US government continues feeling cozy and protected by NATO and US against their own people.
Serbia is again being dragged kicking and screaming into EU and NATO. Note, this is after NATO bombed Serbia in 1990s, killing tens of thousands of Serbs. It is also despite the fact that EU announced a freeze on new memberships. But they will make an exception for Serbia, which I can confidently say, is the most pro-Russian country in Europe. This is why Serbia has to be completely reformatted and broken, as before was done to Bulgaria and most of former Yugoslavia.
Essentially, the center of operations was moved south-east and it now became the Baltic - Black Sea - Caspian Plan.
Here is a link to George Freedman's article on Stratfor site, published March 25, 2014, which corroborates everything I said and gives a good idea how they think and operate: From Estonia to Azerbaijan: American Strategy After Ukraine
Black Sea clandestine op: the dangerous time bomb installed and ticking! Now, how do we disarm it?
By now you may have noticed that the center of this entire clandestine op is Black Sea. This is the knot of all problems, which needs to be unraveled in order to resolve the crisis and disarm the convoluted and dangerous time bomb that US/EU/globalists have installed in order to blow up Russia's soft underbelly.
The very pinnacle of the Black Sea takeover would have been Crimea. When it became clear that Russia would not let that happen, the next best target and center of operations moved to Odessa.
But Odessa is also surrounded by several prized geopolitical assets that help US execute their plan. This is why US and its cronies, whom I will name in this report as well as in ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA, will continue holding the population of these poor territories hostage to its devilish plans. These territories are: Moldova and Pridnestrovie, Nikolaev and Kherson Oblasts. Additionally, these are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, as well as Russian north Caucasus. These are also all Central Asian post-Soviet republics. Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia) are on the list. Syria and Turkey are also in this category.
As of today, US executed a partially successful takeover of Ukraine, which will begin reversing after US elections, but especially in 2017-2018. US plan to unleash ISIS on Caucasus and Central Asia hasn't worked due to the extremely skilled deflection by Russian diplomacy and successful Russian military op in Syria. Read ESR5 and FT article: LADA RAY REPORT: Putin Announces Russian Troops Withdrawal from Syria – Reasons Revealed!
Central Asian subversion plan didn't work out due to Russia's timely involvement on many fronts, including diplomatic negotiations, economic carrots for the former republics, and securing the border with Afghanistan in Tajikistan. Caucasus subversion pan fell through as well. Some risk still remains in both regions surrounding Caspian Sea, but it's incomparable to what could have been if US/Turkey/ISIS succeeded in turning it into another Ukraine. Below, I'll talk a little more about Caucasus and the eastern Black Sea shore.
But the truth remains: It was Ukraine that became the weakest of the links and it is Odessa and surrounding territories that have become the Gordian Knot of problems. It's the darkest before the dawn. Today's grave problems could paradoxically lead to real solutions.
Odessa is the remaining prize they are trying to grab, tearing it away from the Russian World and securing as their fortress. The surrounding and nearby lands of Bessarabia, Pridnestrovie, Gagauzia and Moldova are an integral part of this plan, also being under attack.
(The rest of the northern Black Sea shore, Nikolaev, and especially Kherson to the east, are as much a target. Second part of our real life thriller, called CRIMEAN ADENDA will address the dangerous games being played in these oblasts, in addition to Crimea.) Stay tuned!

The situation in Moldova, Gagauzia and Pridnestrovie
The main focus of this report is the epicenter of the Baltic-Black Sea-Caspian Plan: Odessa and surrounding areas. The most important adjacent area, where a lot is brewing, is Moldova together with the breakaway Pridnestrovie. In fact, despite the fact that they seemingly are separated by borders, I view Odessa Oblast/Moldova/Pridnestrovie (possibly also with Nikolaev to the east of Odessa) as one key area where much of the future of Russia, Eurasia and the world is being decided. I urge anyone who really wants to understand the dynamics of the geopolitical game being played to view it this way.
I could explain why Odessa-Moldova(Kishinev)-Pridnestrovie(Tiraspol/Bendery) should be treated as interconnected pieces of the same reality in a personal way. I grew up traveling between Odessa-Kishinev-Bendery-Nikolaev. It was absolutely natural and I had relatives in all these places. People live, not really thinking about borders in those parts. They used to be parts of one country, they all still have the same mentality, they have same understanding of the world around them. Any divisions are completely artificial and unnatural. In fact, people from Odessa Oblast, Kishinev and Bendery are much closer to each other than to those from Kiev, or even Donbass and Kharkov. Similarly, People from Kishinev, the capital of Moldova are in fact much closer in mentality and way of life that to Romanians.
The materials you will read below will further illustrate this point. What is happening now, when foreign powers and local sold-out elites work hard to convince people they are something else, are simply attempts to forcefully reformat people's DNA, putting a wdge between traditionally close, or even the same, people in order to dominate the sheeple. The most important reason for this it the desperate urge to weaken and destroy Russia so no one stands in the way of the globalist agenda.
The situation in Moldova is complex and volatile. In my past articles and reports I described it in detail and made some key predictions.
Overview and analysis of events in Moldavia in October 2014 - January 2016
& the truth about Moldavian and Romanian history
& the truth about Moldavian and Romanian history
The events in Moldavia (aka, Moldova, aka, ex- Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic) are developing swiftly and resolutely. I have been following them very closely since 2014 when I first felt it was on the brink of a major change, in part expedited by the Ukraine 2014 coup, and in part by anti-Russian sanctions.
Just like Ukraine, Moldavia has been starkly divided and torn between pro-EU (better defined as pro-Romania) and pro-Russian camps. Some are simply for closer ties with Russia and define themselves as pro-Moldavian sovereignty.
Moldavia’s situation, allegiances and events are confusing at best. It seems there is a lot of flip-flopping and morphing. The impression is that both the government and people are confused and unsure what to do with themselves and their country. The info sipping through into the general world from Moldova is sketchy and inadequate. In such circumstances it’s a great idea to follow what’s happening via someone who knows those parts first hand (I grew up there), follows closely, understands the language, background and intricacies involved; in short, someone you trust.
Background:
I had explained the realities of Moldavia and the breakaway Pridnestrovie, as well as the small Gagauzia autonomy within Moldavia, in my video report: Pridnestrovie vs Moldova: Eurasian Union vs EU (LadaRayLive 2). Analysis and Predictions: Battleground Moldova – November 30, 2014 Elections
Excerpts that explain the convoluted political situation during the 2014 parliamentary elections, along with key predictions:
11/30/14 update. Blatant disregard for citizens’ rights, and next to Ukraine, the most anti-democratic elections in recent history!
Fresh info from Moscow: Moldova opened only one polling station for entire Moscow, where most of the 750,000 Moldavian guest workers in Russia reside. Video link – look what is happening at that polling station! 6 thousand people standing in line in the cold; Moscow authorities had to blockade and divert traffic on Kuznetsky Most – one of the central Moscow streets. 1000 policemen had to be brought in to maintain order – but people behaved very orderly, no scandals or disorderly behavior. Everyone in line is angry at Moldovan government for preventing them from voting. Only 5 polling stations were opened for the entire Russia. Meanwhile, in the EU, where less than 300,000 Moldavian workers reside, 125 polling stations were opened.
According to this, earlier update from Moscow, 15,000 people gathered during the day by the Moldavian embassy on Kuznetsky Most in Moscow, trying to vote. The gathering turned into a real protest with people chanting ‘Rossiya’ (Russia) and demanding the right to vote. According to report, Moldova’s government allocated only 3,000 ballots to this (main) voting station!!! Video link.
Timely question by one of my readers about Moldova:
Eric8h: ‘Lada,….great blog! My I ask please what your thoughts are on the upcoming Moldova elections. From afar it looks like the authorities are using all the crooked tricks (with EU backing) to fix the election. Yesterday’s news about the ban reaffirmed that to me. It also seems to me that if enough of the Moldovans in Moscow vote over there……then the pro-Russia side should win. Any thoughts?’
Lada says:
Eric is correct, the Moldovan pro-EU coalition government is using all kinds of ‘crooked tricks’ to hang on to power. He is also correct that if 750,000 voting age Moldavian guest workers residing in Russia (with their families in Moldova, well over 50% of the electorate) were allowed to exercise their democratic right to vote, they would have completely changed the Moldavian political landscape. The pro-Customs Union/pro-Russia forces would be guaranteed to win these elections.
Moldova is the poorest and one of the smallest countries of Europe. Moldova is also a new geopolitical battleground. The November 30, 2014 Moldovan parliamentary elections promise to be the beginning of a shift. The pro-EU coalition government is doing everything to remain in power, dragging Moldova kicking and screaming into the EU, and into the absorption by Romania. The means used to hang on to power at all cost are openly anti-democratic and illegal. Meanwhile, according to various polls, the majority of Moldavians are pro-Customs Union with Russia.
To many Moldavians this is the issue of livelihood and even life and death, in addition to any cultural preferences, traditions, and the Russian language many speak at home. In this regard, Moldavia is very much like Ukraine. It is literally a suicide for Moldova to cozy up to the EU when almost all of its trade is with Russia and other countries of the Customs Union and when 750,000 of its citizens are guest workers in Russia. These guest workers, who may be deported back to Moldova should it make further overtures towards the EU, add a huge chunk to Moldova’s GDP by sending their earnings home to support their families.
The most prosperous and industrialized part of then Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, Pridnestrovie (or Transnistria), has seceded in 1992 because the people wanted to keep speaking Russian. Another area of Moldova, the Gagauzia autonomy, recently had a referendum in which over 95% of the population also promised to secede and join Customs Union independently if Moldova keeps moving towards EU and away from Russia. The Russian-speaking north may also secede should the pro-EU momentum not be reversed.
Knowing they are on shaky ground, current pro-EU government uses openly anti-democratic methods to stifle the voice of the people. The party Patria (Motherland) of Renato Usaty has just been banned from participating in the November 30 elections. The new coalition Moldova’s Choice – Customs Union isn’t allowed on TV and kept away from TV debates. In the info vacuum many citizens may not know what voting choices they have.
The most egregious anti-democratic action of the Moldova’s government is the denial of the right to vote to the vast majority of Moldavians living and working in Russia. There are 750,000 Moldavians in Moscow and other cities. The government in Kishinev only agreed to open 5 polling stations with capacity of 4,000 voters each. This happened despite protests, polls and insistence by citizens and the Customs Union block, who demanded 200 polling station to satisfy the need. Obviously the authorities know they will definitely lose if all Moldovans working in Russia, who remain mass supporters of the shaky Moldavian economy and huge contributors to its GDP, are allowed to vote.
According to Renato Usaty, leader of the banned Patria party, Moldova government is sending only 15,000 voting ballots to Russia, which means 735,000 voters are denied the right to vote. In the EU Moldova is opening 95 voting stations (with 300-350,000 Moldavians living there) vs. only 5 voting stations in Russia where 750,000 Moldavians reside. Further, according to Usaty, polls show that 3 pro-EU parties presently forming government coalition only get 35% of support: video link. This effectively means that the ruling coalition will not be able to hang on to power unless the democratic vote is manipulated.
Predictions:
Moldova’s tide is turning. People of Moldova don’t want the violent Ukraine/ Donbass war scenario, but they also start seeing that the path towards the EU is a suicide. Only the oligarchs and the ruling political class will benefit – the country at large will lose.
As a result of these elections the new force, which is in favor of the Customs Union with Russia, will enter the parliament to serve as a counterweight to pro-EU coalition. I predict this new political force, including Socialists and those who side with them, such as Customs Union party of Topolnitsky, will have a surprisingly good showing and will gain between 15% and 20% of votes. For most, it will be especially surprising considering the info blockade and blocking of the voters abroad.
Communist Party, which is communist in name only, is the largest and oldest party in Moldova. Many vote for it specifically because they mistakenly think it’s pro-Russian. Same confusion happened with Yanukovich and Party of the Regions in Ukraine, until they showed their true colors.
Communists, through their head Vladimir Voronin, have recently re-affirmed on public TV their pro-EU position. As I discussed in my earlier article and video (see links below), it appears Voronin has been threatened/ blackmailed by the West to toe the line. It appears the CIA presented Voronin with an undeniable proof of his son’s guilt in crimes committed in the US. Voronin Jr. resides in the USA. His daddy was told to support the EU integration of Moldova if he doesn’t want his son in jail.
It also appears that Voronin’s substantial personal wealth allegedly stored in the EU and/or US-dependent offshores, was also threatened unless the Communist party expresses a pro-EU position. As I said, these are communists in name only.
Voronin used to be the president of Moldova until mid-2000, when he was overturned in a very similar to Ukraine, albeit less violent, color revolution. He was replaced with the present pro-EU, pro-Romania (which in Moldavian terms means they are anti-Moldavian sovereignty) coalition of Western-educated neo-liberals. To this day, about 40% of voters still vote for communists. Each of the three pro-EU parties in power has between 10 and 20 percent of votes, but together they are able to have a slight majority, thus putting the direct majority communists in opposition.
Communists still hold a lot of sway and can influence the vote. From this it is clear how important it was for the West to threaten and compromise Voronin. Voronin proved to be as weak and flimsy a leader as Yanukovich. He put his personal interests above the interests of his country. The result – as expected.
As an afterthought, Voronin hopes to return one day as president of the country. It is very possible that by siding with pro-EU forces he is also positioning himself as a lesser evil. If pro-Russian forces can’t get the majority in the next several years, people may opt to vote for a lesser evil, Voronin – at least this is his thinking. In fact, Voronin isn’t a lesser evil. In order to return to presidency he is ready to sell out his country.
Still, once in the parliament, the Customs Union Block together with other forces, such as Dodon and his Socialists, and certain Communists who’ll vote pro-Customs Union, will be able to serve as a good counterweight to the pro-EU coalition in power. The biggest obstacle the above-described pro-Customs Union forces have is that they are unable to agree on a coalition due to rivalry and mutual disagreements. Seemingly, socialists, communists and the Customs Union Block would make a natural alliance. But as it stands now, they blame each other for mistakes and inconsistencies, sometimes rightly. Taking advantage of these rivalries, pro-EU parties are able to push their agenda through almost without a hitch. Truly, united we stand, divided we fall. Food for thought for the pro-Customs Union forces of Moldova!
Incidentally, banning Patria with Renato Usaty from running seems to be directed against Dodon and pro-Customs Union socialists, who were planning on forming a parliamentary coalition together with Usaty.
All the above notwithstanding, there is a possibility of a loose coalition between anti-EU forces once election results become clear. After the elections it will be extremely important for the Customs Union Block to continue expanding their momentum and influence – this, in fact, is paramount for the success of the Pro-EAU movement in later elections.
My advice: It would have been much better if Voronin stepped down as the leader of communists, since he is a compromised figure, thus stifling the development of his party and diluting voter trust. However, his lust for power won’t allow him to do the right thing, and no one in his party is likely to challenge his authority.
Prediction: for the next couple of years, the compromised Voronin and communists will serve as a dead weight and a brake on the promising development of the pro-Customs Union/ pro-EAU forces in Moldova. Unless and until there is an internal revolution (literally) within the Communist party (which is unlikely so far), the best strategy for other pro-EAU forces is to take away as many votes from the communists as possible. Those who traditionally vote communist (and that’s about 40% of voters in the country!) need to be convinced that the future is with the Customs Union Block and with Socialists instead. These forces should also leave their differences behind and unite.
Incidentally, the analysis and conclusions presented in this article is something you won’t hear in Moldova, nor from Western MSM, nor from Russian analysts. This article constitutes my original analysis and predictions based on my own info and observations.
The above dynamics will establish an uneasy equilibrium in the country for a period. This equilibrium will last until more people start leaning and voting anti-EU. At that point the struggle between opposing forces will intensify and the game will change, likely becoming more violent. However, considering Moldavians are terrified of the violent Ukrainian scenario next door, there is a good probability the overt violence may be prevented. So far it’s been peaceful, at least physically. The political and social fights will continue being intense, dirty and gloves off.
Moldova will be in an undecided state for a couple of years, until the scale is tipped irreversibly towards Eurasian Union. Incidentally, these two neighbors – Moldova and Ukraine – will look at each other and compare each other’s notes in regards to their decision to join the Customs Union, or rather Eurasian Union. The decision to join EAU will happen for both anywhere between 2016 and 2018, as I said in PREDICTIONS. For Moldova it will be around 2017 or 2018.
Joining EAU is unavoidable. But it will only happen when USA is weakened sufficiently so it cannot dictate any more.
Incidentally, joining EAU is the only way for the breakaway People’s Republic of Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) and Moldova to again become friends.
Some borders (including with Romania) may be revised as a result of all these processes. This will start happening towards the end of this decade and into the next. However, this may not be that big of an issue. It is likely that Romania, along with some other Eastern/Central European countries, in the next decade may become a member of Eurasian Union as well – at least an associate member.
These are the materials from my January 21, 2016 FT article:
Moldavia Explodes! Anti-EU, Anti-Government Revolt, Parliament Stormed
The predictions made in the above article are materializing exactly as I said they would - to the point of an 'uneasy equilibrium' I had predicted to be established for a couple of years, where the confrontation between opposing points of view resembles a stalemate. Despite flare ups, this is a frozen conflict at best.
As you'll see below, despite a major push by the masses for changes in October 2015-January 2016, nothing really happened. President has not resigned; new PM was still named in secret by oligarchs and approved by Victoria Nuland and Romania; a stolen billion dollars wasn't found.
Moldavia is unable to move towards being absorbed by Romania, as pro-Romania forces want. These same forces want closer EU integration. However, the pro-Customs Union forces won't let them do it. Meanwhile, pro-Customs Union forces are just as unable to move the country closer to Russia.
Note, the political landscape in Moldova is very fluid and some of the parties mentioned in that original article have changed their names, such as Patria of Renato Usatiy (Usatii) became Nasha Partia (Our Party). The Customs Union Party also changed its name and morphed into something else, remaining a pro-Russian force and still siding with the left. But the general prediction and direction of the events and energy remain true, developing in line with my predictions. Socialists won the majority in the 2014 elections, but were manipulated out of power, and they continue being the leading force in these protests.
How $1 billion was stolen from Moldavian people
In the summer of 2015 it was discovered that $1 billion disappeared from Moldavian banks. By disappeared I mean: evaporated, vanished into thin air. This money was, per reports, simply stolen and laundered offshore. For a small and poor country like Moldova this amount constitutes 1/4 to 1/3 of its annual budget.
As a consequence, Moldavia’s banking sector collapsed, liquidity dried up and the country plunged into a catastrophic crisis. Economy took a nose dive as a result of that, plus, Russian sanctions.
The government tried to cover up the disappearance of the money, but the scandal grew. Secret criminal connections between the highest government officials and biggest oligarchs, such as Plokhotnyuk, were revealed, causing uproar. One of the people who blew the whistle was the mayor of Beltsi and head of Nasha Partia, Renato Usatiy. I talk about him in the above-linked article, and we’ll continue talking about this rising star of the Moldavian politics, and sort of Che Guevara cum 007 in this report.
By October 2015 mass protests in Kishinev began and they haven’t stopped since. The remarkable thing about these protests is that pro-Romania and pro-Russian forces, both the ultra right and left, are united in their protest against this corrupt, oligarchic pro-EU government.
The leadership in protests was taken by the Party of Socialists with Igor Dodon, who won last elections, but was blocked from forming the government (read all about it in Analysis and Predictions: Battleground Moldova – November 30, 2014 Elections) and Nasha Partia with Renato Usatiy. These leftist parties head the coalition for Moldavian sovereignty, against EU and Romania annexation and for closer ties with Russia. The movement for Customs Union and close ties with Russia is growing daily, as predicted in the linked article and video.
Protests continued through the cold winter despite authorities’ repeated attempts to arrest various leaders, despite sabotage and open propping up of the regime by Romania and USA. As a result of persistent protests, the resignation of Moldova’s PM was achieved. One of the Moldavian oligarchs responsible for the disappearance of $1 bln and former PM Vlad Filat was designated by the regime as scapegoat and sent to jail.
But protesters refused to calm down, continuing to demand resignation of president Timofti, the end of oligarchy and full investigation. The ultimate demand is the new parliamentary elections. Moldovan president refuses to resign and refuses to schedule new elections. In this he’s supported by Romania, which continues its slow, crawling annexation of Moldavia. He’s also supported by EU and USA.
Should new elections be scheduled now, by all estimates and polls, the pro-Russian and pro-Moldavia-sovereignty opposition coalition will win. This would put an end to almost 25 years of Romania dragging Moldavia into its fold, kicking and screaming. Then the country is bound to make a turn away from EU and towards Russia. This will also begin the process of de-oligarchization of the country.
Is it any surprise that the present government, financed by oligarchs, is holding on to power for dear life. This may be their last chance to remain in power. While at it, they are trying to push through the EU association agreement, before it’s too late. This is despite widespread protests and the majority being against it.
And here is our old ‘friend,’ again rearing her ugly head! A day prior Victoria Nuland popped up in Bucharest, Romania, where she met with Romanian and Moldavian presidents/ top brass and where she approved the new PM of Moldavia, whose name is Pavel Filip. This painfully reminds us of how Nuland was caught on tape approving and moving around, like pieces on a chess board, Ukraine PMs, presidents, heads of Rada, and such.
The news of Nuland approving Moldavian PM angered protesters further. The protest slogan became: “US approves the crooked Moldavian government, but Moldavian people don’t.” The protesters say that Filip is the front for the oligarchs that have been robbing the country blind. As economic situation in Moldova worsens, an average citizen feels the pinch. This again reminds me of a similar situation in Ukraine, as described in ESR3: OLIGARCH WARS.
Last night Kishinev (aka, Chisinau, Moldovan capital) government publicly lied to citizens that the approval procedure for the new PM would be delayed by a few days. This was done to mislead and lull protesters into complacency. As protesters looked the other way, under the cover of the night, Moldovan elites gathered in secret and hastily approved the new PM and government without any deliberations. The whole approval process lasted 6 minutes!
Today, after the news reached opposition, a renewed wave of mass protests began. Angry crowds attacked parliament building and for a brief time occupied the ground floor, but were talked by protest leaders into vacating it. The leaders maintain they should stick with peaceful protest, demanding new elections.
At least tens of thousands are on streets, despite low temps – minus 12 C. Note: in this video people chant in Russian: ‘vibori’ – elections and ‘svoboda’ – freedom, and in Modavian: ‘viktorie’ – victory. In Moldova people often speak in a mix of Russian and Moldavian, easily transitioning back and forth between the two. This way of speaking and thinking is very natural for locals as they try to make sure everyone understands them.
Meanwhile, the government has expelled Russian language and culture from schools, government and from MSM, which feels very unnatural to people. As a result, Moldavians exist in a warped reality. At school they are told that Russia is the enemy and invader. But at home people most often watch Russian channels and listen to Russian news.
About 1 million Moldavians work in Russia since their own economy is shut, sending money back home. Meanwhile, Russian language, history and relations with Russia are being suppressed, just like in neighboring Ukraine. Russian speakers prefer to leave Moldova and move to Russia or Pridnestrovie permanently, and not only Russian speakers. Moldavians often make the same choice. Watch my LadaRayLive 2 video linked above for all the details!
Angry crowds also surrounded ex-president of Moldova, Gimpu, who was instrumental in trying to drag the country into EU and towards Romania’s annexation. As he was exiting the parliament, the crowd beat him up.
Watch videos of protesters storming Moldova parliament and ex-prez Gimpu being attacked in original article: Moldavia Explodes! Anti-EU, Anti-Government Revolt, Parliament Stormed.
Incidentally, Russian media reports that the accredited Russian journalists, arriving to cover the protests, are being denied entry into the country and deported on the spot. Moldavian authorities tell them they have been ‘blacklisted.’ Russian journalists are scratching their heads as to why. I know for a fact that Ukraine junta regime closely cooperates and shares their info on who should be blacklisted with Kishinev regime. I’ll have some very revealing intel in that regard in Black Sea Gambit!
I am following the events in Moldavia very closely. My original prediction (see more in the Battleground Moldova link above) was that an uneasy and delicate equilibrium would last until 2016 or 2017, when both pro-EU and anti-EU forces will be close to equal. In the same piece I said that thereafter the country would begin shifting more and more towards Russia.
My prediction remains unchanged, but the scandal with the missing $1 bln may have accelerated the timeline. I am all for positive change, but I still believe that it will take Moldavia until at least some time in 2017 to unravel the country’s many problems. Some sort of compromise needs to be reached between opposing views that would be workable for the majority. Only then a decent new balance may be achieved. But it will be hard for a while. Unfortunately, like with Ukraine, Moldova’s economy will be ruined before the population finally sees the light. Due to the fact that Moldavians are largely peaceful people, unlike western Ukraine’s ukro-nazis, I hope bloodshed may be avoided. Read my above article for more predictions.
The country will have to change lots of things, including constitution, history books (Moldavian history has been re-written; in it Russia is the aggressor and instead of real Moldavian, the falsified ‘Romanian history’ is being taught) and alphabet (traditional Cyrillics was replaced with Latin and Moldavian language is now called ‘Romanian’), among many others. Election laws, federalization/autonomy laws, and many others will also have to change. This will take some time.
One thing remains clear: Moldavia is turning away from the failing Romania annexation/EU-association model. Moldavia can and should live in peace and cooperation with both Europe and Russia, as well as all other neighbors. But it is now forced artificially into a situation when it has to break all relations with Russia – its primary trade partner, cultural, language, currency and jobs donor. Moldavians are forced to accept becoming a poor backdoor of Romania and EU, whether they want it or not.
And this won’t happen. The tide is changing – be ready!
The explosion and the tectonic shift in the pre-Balkans: Moldavia, Pridnestrovie, Gagauzia, along with Romania, will be one of the topics of my upcoming Earth Shift Report: BLACK SEA GAMBIT. In it I’ll also cover the strategically all-important Odessa and northern Black Sea, as well as Caucasus and the changes brewing in the Balkans. Important changes in Poland will also be in the report. These are all areas that are boiling over with unseen by most of the world, but very significant change, which eventually will tip the scale of power in Eurasia. These are the areas usually overlooked, whether intentionally or not, by global MSM. Reliable info from these parts is normally hard to come by.
Just a small sampler of lies, followed by the real truth, about Romania, Moldavia and Russia.
Romanian trolls had polluted the entire internet with claims of the ‘great Romania.’ One such claim: they insist that Moldavia belongs to them. They even have the audacity to say that Odessa and Odessa Oblast (Bessarabia) belong to them as well. I’ll talk about Odessa, as well as the entire Russia/Moldova/Romania spread, in the upcoming BLACK SEA GAMBIT.
But just a few quickies to wet your appetite! In fact, Romania didn’t exist before 19th century. There were a few divergent, very feudal, very backwards, and warring between each other territories: mainly Transylvania (yes, Vlad the Impaler’s domain) and Walachia. Dobruja (definitely a Slavic, non-Romanian word) now belongs to Romania as well, but it really should be a part of Bulgaria. Romania also claims Bukovina in Western Ukraine (also definitely a Slavic word and populated almost exclusively by Slavs). I could go on, but I think the picture is clear.
All the above Eastern European/Balkans territories as far as Hungary were under Ottoman Turks for centuries and didn’t exist as normally functioning states. At least there was a Moldavian dukedom with capital in Kishinev as early as 1690s, even if it wasn’t fully independent. One thing I can tell you for sure, Moldavia was certainly in better shape and fully independent of the wrecks that were Transylvania, Walachia, etc.
By contrast, Rumania (Romania) was only formed in 1878.
Don’t even get me started on the etymology of the word Ru-mania or Ro-mania. Same goes for the Romanian language.
Below is the map I used in ESR7: TURKISH CONUNDRUM, to illustrate the decline of the Ottoman Empire. It shows by year when various areas of Eastern Europe were liberated from Ottomans, between 1699 and 1923:
But that’s not all!
It was Russia that liberated all of pre-Balkans and Balkans, including what is today Romania, from the Ottomans. Further, if it wasn’t for Russia, there would be no Romania! Russia insisted on creating Romania at the time, over the objections of the British Empire and Austria-Hungary. Russia wanted to create a state that would unite the pre-Balkans Orthodox people and the kind of state that would keep under control the piracy, smuggling and lawlessness predominant in those parts, so the neighboring people could exist in peace, including Russia’s own Slavic population across the border – in South Russia (aka, Odessa), Novorossia and Malorossia. In retrospect, this is a rare case when, perhaps, Russia should have listened to the Brits.
Conclusion: Romania is one of those countries who repay for any help and any good with the blackest ingratitude. What do you expect from the country that joined Hitler when he was winning, lured by the promise of Odessa as the big prize, but promptly betrayed him and switched to the opposite side when he began losing? Not only Russians, but all Europeans, would be wise to remember this!
Maps of Moldavia, Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) and Gagauzia autonomy within Moldavia
The map of Pridnestrovie, aka, Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), below gives a good idea of its ethnic composition.
Many pro-Western and pro-Romanian forces in Moldova attempted to present the bloody conflict between Moldavia and Pridnestrovie in 1990-1992 as ethnic. Nothing could be further from the truth, yet, many dupes in Moldavia still believe so.
But - surprise! The staunchly pro-Russian and anti-Romanian breakaway republic's population is 33% Moldavian, 29% Russian and 29% Ukrainian. My favorite aunt and uncle, who called Bendery, Pridnestrovie, their home, were in fact Ukrainian.
With this kind of composition of the population, PMR repeatedly voted in referendums to join Russia. The results of these referendums were predictably very close to Crimean, Donbass and other similar referendums: about 95-98% for joining Russia. Therefore, the actual conflict was never about ethnicities: it is a conflict based on civilizational choice.
Why Russia was unable to accept Pridnestrovie as part of the Russian Federation, despite referendum results
The reasons Russia was unable to accept PMR despite the population's ardent desire since 1992, are quite on the surface. First, Pridnestrovie doesn't have a border with Russia, being located quite far from Russia's territory. Moreover, Pridnestrovie doesn't have access to Black Sea either, being blocked from it by Odessa Oblast. Therefore, any movement of goods and people has to happen through either Moldavia or Ukraine. Finally, the international pressure on Russia was always relentless. When the decisive referendum to be accepted as part of Russia took place in PMR in mid-2000s (2006, if memory serves), it showed that 98% were for reunifiaction with Russia. But at that time Russia was incomparably weaker and much more dependent on the West economically than today. If Crimea caused this much backlash, just imagine what might have happened if PMR was accepted in 2006! In fact, the escalation of conflict under Yushchenko, putting Russia and PMR in a tight spot was certainly designed to force Russia's hand.
All of the above make the existence of the people in PMR exceptionally difficult, and their situation cannot be envied in the least.
How Odessa and Pridnestrovie worked together and how Ukraine/Moldavia/Romania/US worked against them
The conflict became frozen and the situation was uncertain, but relatively acceptable for years. The reason: PMR borders specifically Odessa Oblast where the population an authorities have always been the most sympathetic and friendly to Pridnestrovians' plight. In fact, Odessa Oblast people consider themselves very close to Pridnestrovie and vice versa. For as long as I can remember this was always the case: people in Tiraspol and Bendery felt more at home in Odessa than in Kishinev.
Just like Donbass and Crimea wanted to be with Russia, so did Pridnestrovie.
Additional bonus was that all PMR goods went through Odessa ports and other transport hubs, which made it very lucrative for Odessa business structures. Enclosed in their international blockade and viciously prosecuted by the West, sometimes PMR enterprises had no choice but to smuggle their produce and goods to those who would buy them. We are talking most of the industrial output and some agri-produce.
However, Russia managed to negotiate an agreement with Ukraine on free passage of all goods, people and troops to and from Pridnestrovie, which alleviated the situation. This agreement worked on and off. When US agent Yushchenko was installed in 2004 as Ukraine president, he made it difficult for the agreement to work; provocations and sabotage were many. But Odessa was still too strong and they were unable to stop the PMR transit agreement from working.
It will take ten more years of relentless anti-Russian propaganda in schools and MSM, as well as relocating to Odessa tens of thousands of ukro-nazis and rabid Russophobes from western Ukraine, who began actively changing the DNA of the city, overwhelming and overshadowing the main population. By 2014 they infiltrated enough of these sleeper cells to be activated when Odessa tried to rebel. May 2 Kulikovo Polie massacre showed that they succeeded in subduing the city, at least for now.
Data from different sources is conflicting, but it is known that anywhere between 200,000 and nearly 500,000 people in Pridnestrovie have Russian passports. The entire PMR population is 500,000. 1300 Russian troops are also stationed there, with a UN peacekeeping mandate. Under such circumstances Moldavia can't attempt to attack Pridnestrovie again.
Pridnestrovie blockade provocation by US-Romania-Kiev: how the plan to provoke Russia into sending troops failed
The 1992 events were a huge cold shower for Moldavia's pro-West elites, moreover, they created a massive aversion to violence in the peaceful Moldavian population. Certainly it helped that Russian contingent is still stationed in Pridnestrovie.
Consequently, such attacks were never attempted again. However, the outside forces continued trying to push Moldavia into a new conflict with Pridnestrovie.
In 2015 Poroshenko and Ukraine began blockade of PMR. Kiev announced that all Russian transit to and from Pridnestrovie through Ukraine is banned. Russia had a long-standing PMR transit agreement with Ukraine and this route had served as almost an exclusive way to transport military supplies and rotate soldiers. Closing of the normal route signified a blockade of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
Between 2015 and 2016, Kiev amassed an army and lots of tanks on the border between Odessa Oblast and the breakaway republic. Nearby Odessa Oblast residents became worried about being forced into a confrontation with those whom they consider very close. Neither Odessans nor Pridnestrovians certainly don't want any conflict with those whom they consider much more their kind than ukro-nazis and nationalists from Kiev.
Simultaneously in 2015, Kiev and Romania secretly got together and attempted to make a deal to attack Pridnestrovie. Remarkably, they basically excluded Moldavia from this deal, deciding behind the closed doors everything on its behalf. It is known that Victoria Nuland made a large number of trips to Romania, where she repeatedly met with Romanian and Moldavian presidents.
The situation was getting dire. Pridnestrovie agricultural produce rotted inside the country and industrial goods were unable to be shipped out because new Odessa governor Saakashvili banned them from transit through Odessa Oblast and Odessa port. Pridnestrovie is an export based economy. The most industrially developed former part of Moldavia, much of what is produced there always got shipped out either to Russia or to Europe, most of it through Odessa port. Blockade made the situation very difficult.
The fact that Russia was unable to rotate its military and supply them with necessary things was also very worrisome.
At the same time, it was becoming clear that Ukraine and Romania lost their minds. Ukraine said they would shoot Russian planes, if they attempted deliveries through Odessa Oblast and Romania was getting ready to attack Pridnestrovie together with Ukraine.
It has to be noted that Romania was licking its lips, eyeing for annexation at least southern half of Odessa Oblast (from Belgorod-Dnestrovksy all the way down south to Izmail). Romania also wanted to get back Bukovina in western Ukraine. They always wanted the actual prize - City of Odessa itself. But of course, no one would give it to them. But Bucharest’s plan was the plan of a vulture see if Ukraine is busy looking the other way, wait until it's very weak, and then have its troops cross the border and annex the valuable Izmail and Belgorod. As I mentioned previously, Izmail controls the very valuable Black Sea estuary of the river Danube and Belgorod-Dnestrovsky controls the estuary of the river Dniester.
In 2015 I had heard from very alarmed Izmail residents, who were afraid Romania may invade them any moment and who were asking for Russian protection (note, not Ukrainian, but Russian protection!).
It is my personal opinion that Poroshenko and Kiev realized the danger and decided to trade southern Odessa for Pridnestrovie. They secretly promised Bucharest they will help them annex Pridnestrovie and push Moldova towards Romania if they leave Odessa alone.
As part of the plan, they amassed troops on PMR border and blockaded PMR and Russian traffic. Tensions reached their pinnacle around the summer of 2015. Russia floated rumors that the entire Black Sea coast may be jammed by Russian electronic device, similar to what is known as Khibini. Remember the USS Donald Cook story, when it was jammed by Russian jet, paralyzed and unable to move: Mystery Revealed: What frightened the USS Donald Cook so much in the Black Sea? Watch the actual mysterious new Russian devices in action in EARTH SHIFT VIDEO REPORT 4: ALIEN TECHNOLOGY & NEW RUSSIAN WEAPONS.
Russians also hinted that they would make a flight corridor for their jets through Odessa Oblast. When the situation was about to get out of control, Moldavia broke down and said that they would allow all PMR and Russian transit through their territory, thus averting a new conflict and de-escalating the situation.
It stands to reason that Moldavia in part did that because they gained better control of the goods that went in and out of PMR. But at the same time it was a confirmation of my prediction: Moldavia is in fact in that uneasy equilibrium I was talking about. It became clear to me that pro-Customs Union forces have become strong enough to sway Moldavia towards certain reasonable, semi-friendly to Russia and PMR actions. This sudden step by Moldova ruined plans by US Kiev junta and Romania satellites to begin a new escalation.
It prevented what US/Kiev junta/Romania really wanted: making Russia send troops so that later Russia could be painted as a villain, making EU adopt new sanctions and isolating Russia. For Romania it would have been an opening to begin annexation of Moldavia.
But this plan failed previously in Ukraine and Donbass, and now it failed in Moldova and Pridnestrovie.
It also became clear that what Romania considered a done deal: annexation of Moldavia - wasn't about to happen.
On maps below you can see how narrow Pridnestrovie is. In some areas it's as narrow as 20 km, or less, in width, being sandwiched between Moldavia and Odessa Oblast on Ukraine side. Map on the right shows PMR flag and crest, which is preserved from Soviet days. In fact, when Moldavia changed its flag to closely resemble Romanian, PMR assumed the original flag and crest of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic.
On the right map below:
Marked with red explosions on the right map are the biggest battles during 1992 conflict. River Dniester (in blue) is the border between Moldavia and PMR, except one city, Bendery, which sticks out on the other side of the Dniester (marked by blue flag in the lower corner). This is where my uncle lived at the time and this is where Romanian-Moldavian nationalist shelled and attacked most. Blue flag marks the location of Russian peacekeepers. Next to Bendery, where the Russian flag is (marking the Russian contingent's headquarters) is the capital of PMR, Tiraspol.
The story of 1992 Pridnestrovie conflict. General Lebed's ultimatum
(Excerpt from ESR5: SYRIA GAME CHANGER):
"Why involve the Caspian Fleet and missiles?
Very simple. It was a message. In Alien Technology and New Russian Weapons I said that Russia began showcasing new defence projects and weapons, which until recently were top secret. This is not by accident. This is to warn NATO and US against any ideas to attack Russia, or even to cross paths with Russia in any sector of the world where Russian forces are operating. This includes Syria, but is not limited to it.
One of the things that are being conveyed through this show of strength is this: US/EU are put on notice that NATO expansion to Russia's borders is over. It is also a reminder to more sane of the EU elites, such as Germany, Italy and France: being friends with Russia is much better than being enemies.
But it's also a message to smaller countries on Russia's periphery, who get very audacious under the cover and with encouragement of the US, already licking their lips at some pieces of what is traditionally the Russian World. Pieces of Ukraine (and Moldova too) are one such delicious cake the neighboring Romania, Poland and others are glaring at.
It has to get a lot of neighboring countries thinking. To me, Ukraine junta leadership should really be thinking long and hard. Russia proved yet again something that only the blind or the bought-and-paid-for refused to see.
IF Russia really wanted to interfere in Ukraine, as one Russian general once hinted on another occasion, Russian army would be lunching in Kiev and eating dinner in Lvov, near the western border with the EU.
These are the paraphrased words of General Lebed', spoken in 1992 Pridnestrovie. Romania at that point was hoping to annex Moldova, taking advantage of the confusion that ensued after the break-up of the Soviet Union. The people of Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) refused to abide and seceded, asking to join Russia instead. Moldavian army with the participation and under the direction of Romanian forces began shelling Pridnestrovie, especially Bendery, located the closest to Moldova and the easiest to reach.
Russia sent UN-mandated peacekeepers headed by General Lebed'. Lebed' stopped the shelling and bloodshed by giving Moldova this ultimatum. He said that if shelling didn't stop immediately, 'he would be lunching in the capital of Moldova Kishinev and eating his dinner in the capital of Romania Bucharest.' The shelling stopped and Moldavian/Romanian troops were withdrawn. Since then, Russia has kept its UN-mandated contingent in Pridnestrovie, to avoid any memory lapses on the part of pro-Romanian nationalists."

Gagauzia votes to secede and join Russia if Moldavia is annexed by Romania
Much of what is said about PMR is true for the Gagauzia autonomy located in the south-eastern portion of Moldavia (see maps above). It is populated with over 60,000 Turkic-speaking Orthodox Christian people, who voted in February 2014 referendum not to join Romania, should Moldavia make such attempt, but to demand instead reunification with Russia. Gagauzs mainly work the land. They had lived in the area for centuries, since Russian Crown gifted them that territory in exchange for loyalty. Amazingly, unlike their neighbors, these people actually remember their history. It is supported by the fact that this agricultural area sells most of its produce to Russia.
In mid-2000s, in response to a series of unfriendly steps by Moldavia, including the tightening of PMR blockade, Russia instituted bans and restrictions of various Moldavian products. The main produce of all of Moldavia is agricultural. For example, up till recently Moldavia sold 1 million tons of apples a year to Russia, which were used mainly for juicing. Most of Moldavian wine also went to Russia, which was a long-standing tradition.
I talk at length about what is happening in Gagauzia, PMR and Moldavia in general, including the situation in agriculture, referendums and more in above video: Pridnestrovie vs Moldova: Eurasian Union vs EU (LadaRayLive 2). The video includes lots of interesting images for those parts.
Why the farmers' Tractor March on Kishinev failed
In 2014 Moldavia joined sanctions against Russia and in response Russia enforced sanctions against Moldavia. Moldavian farmers very quickly understood that there was no other place they could sell their produce. faced with rotting tons of apples and bankruptcy, attempts at revolts began in some areas, especially in the north. A march of tractors was organized by farmers of the north. They took their tractors and went on Kishinev. Because their tractors were very old, the trip took a long time and they had to stop overnight, where they slept in the fields, leaving their tractors on the curb. When they woke up next morning, they discovered that their tractors were all punctured and damaged, all their accompanying vans and trucks had punctured tires. This disheartened these simple farmers and they began talking about returning home. At that moment, as if by magic, then Moldavia's PM Lianke, the main Romania annexation advocate, appeared in front of them and convinced them to return home.
It appears that through intimidation, promises that were never kept and just bullying, similar farmer revolts were suppressed everywhere. While this was seemingly a short-term victory for pro-Romania forces, it would eventually signify a long-term defeat.
How parts of Moldavia began making separate deals with Russia
At that point those areas of Moldavia that wanted to continue trading with Russia had to quietly rebel and strike their own deals with Moscow. Gagauzia was one of such areas. While the rest of Moldavia agriculture has been under sanctions and farmers go bankrupt, Gagauzia authorities has struck their own deal and they continue selling their produce to Russia. This produce is shipped to Russia via Odessa ports.
Of course, PMR was never included in sanctions and they continue shipping their produce to Russia. Although Pridnestrovie is presently under severe blockade from the side of Ukraine, they have ways of shipping through intermediaries, although it's harder and harder to do.
Part of the PMR produce can go through northern Moldavia with capital in Beltsi, the second largest city in Moldavia after Tiraspol and Bendery seceded.
The population of the northern part of the country is the most pro-Russian of the remaining parts of Moldavia. The mayor of Beltsi is presently Renato Usatii (Usatiy). You've heard me talk about about him in the above Moldavia elections and the stolen billion revolt overview. Usatiy, together with the head of Socialists Igor Dodon, spearhead protests and they hope one day to head the country. Usatiy is hoping to become president and Dodon - prime minister. In Moldavia presidential post is more ceremonial, while PM holds most of the executive power.
You already know from the above materials about Kishinev elections that Renato Usatii Patria (Nasha Partia) was banned from participation and that Dodon's Socialists won majority but were muscled out of power. If Kishinev authorities decided to play hardball and tied to force Romania's annexation, then it would be conceivable to imagine Donbass and Crimea scenario. Gagauzia would secede and so would the entire northern Moldova, following their leader Usatii.
This is why I say that Moldavia is in an uneasy equilibrium, where neither pro-Romania, nor pro-Customs Union forces can make strides. This is a stalemate that will be broken in 2017-2018.
When and how exactly it will happen depends on several factors:
1. Ukraine developments and how soon it shifts
2. Who will be next US president
3. The EU situation, including refugee developments and future terrorist acts
4. Russian presidential elections 2018 and how soon Russia decides to act

Why do I say he is a very unlikely Che + 007? Very simple: Usatii is a plump, bespectacled 33-year old, who is an easy-going joker. He resembles and cuddly koala bear, rather than a tough revolutionary. He is also an entrepreneur and minor oligarch, having made a fortune in Russia where he still runs his company and where he has a personal, heavily guarded compound in Moscow Oblast, due to many death threats he received from various pro-EU/Romania forces and from Moldavia authorities.
For Russia he is just one of many well-to-do people who made money during the roaring 1990s and 2000s. But in Moldavia he is an oligarch and in his native Beltsi he is the richest man and the only one who sometimes can pick the slack and pay locals' salaries, when the country's government refuses to honor their obligations. Usatii has been known to pay out of pocket salaries of local municipal cleaners, when Kishinev didn't. He also invested a lot of his own funds to beautify the city, buying equipment for local hospital and throwing parties for the entire city. For example, he would invite some of the top Russian pop-singers to sing on city square.
Usatii is a very, very good populist. What he does - endearing himself to locals - he does very well. People love him and he uses every chance for self-promotion. The difference between him and other politicians, be it in Moldova or the West, is that he is genuine and he does things that truly benefit his people. You can see him in this self-promo YouTube video.
Usatii absorbed the Gagauzia experience and then took 'making separate deals with Russia' to a whole new level. Being entrepreneur, he is a wheeler and dealer. He went to Moscow, where he talked to the mayor Sobyanin. He managed to strike a 'rich relative and benefactor' deal with one of the regions of Moscow. This deal involved Moscow gifting to poor, neglected by Kishinev Beltsi some advanced medical equipment and other things neither Usatii himself, nor his city, could afford. When last winter Beltsi was snowed in, Usatii went to Moscow and got another gift: two newest snow plowing trucks used for severe Moscow snow storms.
At the same time, Usatii publicly says that he isn't 'pro-Russian,' that he is rather pro-Moldavian sovereignty. He says that for years many Moldavian politicians had lied to Russians abut what they stood for. He is honest that way, he says. Just stop lying to Russians, and they will trust us again.
He is actually making a very good point, applicable to all of post-Soviet space. When people ask me why Russia didn't see ukro-nazi coup coming in Ukraine, or how could Russia let things get out of hand in Moldavia, or Belarus, or anywhere else - this is why!
The reason is simply that 'leaderships' of all these post-Soviet republics said one thing to Russians' face and did another behind their backs. They tried to play both fields and sit on two chairs for years. Yanukovich is a great example of how badly this can end.
I sometimes say that Ukraine is going, with a delay, through what neighboring Moldova has already gone through before. Ukraine continues stepping on Moldova's rake, and it appears no lessons are being learned so far. This will change, but unfortunately, it will take a lot more destruction and tears for Ukraine, Odessa and all other areas of that territory. If people were unwilling to learn from others' mistakes or heed warnings staring them in the eye, they will - sadly - have to learn them the hard way.
Moldavia had a war with Pridnestrovie, which gave it early immunization against violence. Then it had a 2006 color revolution. As a result then president, corrupt 'communist' / oligarch Vladimir Voronin was ousted from power, much like Yanukovich. It was more peaceful and Voronin is still in Moldova, where he kept his properties. But his 'communist' party gradually loses its once formidable clout. Party keeps losing members. For example, Igor Dodon once rebelled against Voronin, he took with him lots of other members and organized his own Party of Socialists.
The present Head (Bashkan) of Gagauzia, Irina Vlakh ran against several other parties, as an independent. She won after Russia threw support behind her candidacy. Before that Irina left Voronin's 'communist' party, once largest in the country. Frustrated Voronin called both Vlakh and Dodon 'traitors.'
Voronin was an undisputed leader of Moldova for years before the 2006 color revolution. But it came out that he was playing both sides: Russia and the West. Sitting on two chairs worked badly for him and for Yanukovich.
What happened to Moldova and Ukraine became a great warning for others. Some, like Usatii and Dodon, heeded this warning and began playing it straight. Before 2014-2015 these same people behaved differently, too. But the fact that Russia became much less easily trusting, made them change their tactics. Whether they can be trusted long term still remains to be seen. My prediction is that yes, they can. However, I still think Moldavia will linger in this uneasy equilibrium between pro-Russia and pro-West directions for another year - year and a half, before it really begins moving in the right direction.
I also foresee that certain other figures will emerge, who will be able to better lead the country into the future.
But for now, the figures of Dodon and Usatii are the most prominent in keeping Moldova from falling into the Romania/EU trap.
I see them more as transitional figures, but today they are the best Moldova has.
You can see both Igor Dodon and Renato Usatii on this YT video, called: 'We won't stop protests until the country doesn't shake off the bad dream of oligarchy' (RUS: «Не уйдём, пока страна не стряхнёт с себя дурной олигархический сон» 26.09.2015)
At 2:00 onward: Dodon on the left, Usatii on the right:

Real-life spy thriller, plus, international scandal!
Odessa-Moldavia heist: the unsuspecting President of Moldova Timofti spills the beans to ‘Odessa Governor Saakashvili’; collusion between Moldavian Minister of Interior and ‘Ukraine’s Arsen Avakov’
(Video evidence with full ENG translation and commentary)
We are back to what I pointed out above: Odessa-Moldova-Pridnestrovie are extremely interconnected and intertwined. We are also back to Saakashvili, who is Georgian, with the kind of culture that clashes with Odessa culture and disrupts the flow. He was installed in Odessa on purpose: to break the deep historic connections between local peoples, the smooth flow of business and inter-ethnic relationships that always distinguished this land of lovers and traders.
It's not about Saakashvili's ethnicity. There are lots of Georgians, Russians, Jews, Ukrainians, Armenians, Greeks, Moldavians, Koreans and everyone in between peacefully co-existing in Odessa since forever. Odessans are internationalists; they are a welcoming bunch. It's about his mentality and rabid Russophobia. For this very reason, Odessa population was also hastily diluted with western Ukrainians, who took over everything they could; for the same exact reason Kishinev was forcefully diluted with Romanians. There is one and the same purpose behind all these moves: change the DNA of the population, in order to make it forget its roots, its origins and history. Ultimately, the target of all these manipulations is Russia.
You are probably wondering why in the beginning I called Usatii Che Guevara cum 007. I think that the video below will illustrate the point fully.
Allow me to introduce investigative journalists and pranksters extraordinaire, Vovan and Lexus. Vovan is Russian and Lexus is Belorussian, both living in Moscow. They became world-famous after various stunts involving calls to US commander of NATO forces in the EU, phone conversation with McCain, and other similar pranks. They also are famous for pranking several presidents and major celebrities.
In 2014 Vovan called Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, pretending he was Viktor Yanukovich's son and asked for asylum for his family in Belarus, promising the unsuspecting Lukashenko one of the few remaining solid gold breads they supposedly managed to sneak out of Ukraine while escaping. Lukashenko, thinking he was talking privately to a Yanukovich, spilled the beans on what he really thought about Ukraine coup, and offered asylum to Yanukovich's family.
Another famous recent prank involved Sir Elton John. They called him, pretending President Putin was on the line. Poor old Elton John swallowed it hook, line and sinker, and he was heartbroken when he learned it was a prank. Vladimir Putin, when he found out, graciously called Elton John to ask not to take what happened to heart and offered to meet up 'when both of their busy schedules would permit it.'
In Earth Shift Report 3: OLIGARCH WARS I showed a video and talked about these pranksters in relation to their multi-month Skype prank with Kolomoysky, in which Lexus pretended to be one of the prominent political figures of DNR. In months of the ongoing prank, the drunk, unsuspecting Kolomoysky, then governor of Dnepropetrovsk, shared various junta secrets, revealed his real attitude towards Ukraine and sold out his Kiev cronies. After all these conversations were published, Kiev and Ukraine 'patriots' were shocked and indignant. Although it was never said out loud, that prank was the main reason Kolomoysky lost his governorship, was edged out of some of his prime Ukraine assets and consequently, out of Ukraine.
Also see Vovan prank videos in my article: Pranks to Die For: US General Admits Help for Ukraine, Oligarch Kolomoysky – MH17 Downing.
Subsequent Vovan and Lexus phone pranks and investigations included calls to and from various Ukraine power figures, especially interior minister Avakov, various ukro-nazi battalion commanders and generals.
Lately, they overshadowed their own prior achievements by having a cozy chat with Turkey's Erdogan and also by making the leaders of Ukraine and Crimean Tatar Mejlis spill the beans on how they executed energy blockade of Crimea and what foreign powers helped them. My translated videos of these two spectacular investigations will be included in the next Earth Shift Report 9: CRIMEAN AGENDA.
Today I am sharing my translation of one of the latest pranks, in which fake Mikhail Saakashvili and other representatives of the Kiev regime, call president of Moldavia. Later, they talk to Kishinev Interior Minister and security services deputy chief. The topic is Renato Usatii and how to get him. The unsuspecting Moldavians reveal in this conversation how much their 'democratic' regime itches to throw Usatii and other protesters in jail for thinking differently; they reveal secret dealing and connections between Kiev junta and Kishinev regime, and much more.
See the actual video below. On the cover screen, on the left is Mikhail Saakashvili. On the picture he is shown chewing his tie. This is an infamous image from 2008 when then president of Georgia attacked S. Ossetia. He was given prime time on CNN, BBC and other western MSM 24/7, in which he accused Russia of aggression against little, innocent Georgia. This happened during an interview with CNN, when nervous Saakashvili suddenly began chewing on his tie. Since then he got a nickname: 'the Tie Eater.' When he was installed as Odessa governor in 2015, Odessans, those famous jokesters even in the worst of circumstances, hung chewed ties all over the city to 'welcome' him.
Note: in this recording of Vovan and Lexus prank, Saakashvili is played by Lexus, while Moldavia's president Timofti plays himself. All high profile Moldavians in this recording are also for real. The dynamics is really hilarious.
On the right of the screen is Moldavia's president Nicolae Timofti (Romanized version of his name). He is ardent proponent of Romanization, including re-writing of Moldavia's history and erasing of hundreds of years of Russian and Moldavian common history and heritage; Moldavian alphabet becoming Latinized (already happened) and the country's identity disappearing as it becomes absorbed by Romania. He believes that there is no Moldavians - only Romanians.
Nevertheless, the whole conversation is conducted in Russian, which continues being the language of inter-ethnic communication in this part of the world. Saakashvili, speaking Russian with appropriate Georgian accent, calls Nicolae Timofti 'Nikolay Vasilievich,' which is the Russian respectful address (first name and patronymic). Timofti responds 'da, da' - 'yes, yes' in perfect, non-accented Russian. In actuality, Saakashvili is a talented linguist (my own assessment as a linguist) and after being installed as Odessa governor he already learned to speak Russian with much lesser accent than portrayed here. He even learned to speak some Ukrainian with a passable accent.
In general, the whole conversation is surreal. Two first-rate Russophobes, one Moldavian and another Georgian, deny the fact that it was Russia who liberated more than once BOTH GEORGIA and MOLDAVIA, along with ROMANIA itself, creating and supporting all these states and/or republics in the first place. They both deny any connection and ties with Russia, help Transatlantists to weaken and destroy Russia and generally dream of the world without Russia. Yet, they converse in Russian and use Russian address. This cognitive dissonance is so embedded in their psyche after years of brainwashing in the US and Romania that they don't even notice it. And it doesn't matter that on the tape we have fake Saakashvili. As you have seen from previous videos, the real Saakashvili is the same way. Further vivid illustration can be gleaned in Kiev Scandals: Transatlantic Boss Joe Biden and Ukraine’s Spiders in a Jar (Saakashvili, Avakov, Yatsenyuk and Idiocracy Plus).

Video translation (all in Russian) with my commentary
Saakashvili (S), Moldova president Timofti (T). I am (LR), as usual.
T: Yes?
S: Nikolay Vasilievich, good day. This is Mikhail Saakashvili speaking.
T: Good day.
S: I apologize for bothering you at your personal phone. I have important info. Our SBU told me that your activist Renato Usatii is arriving to Odessa tomorrow.
T: Right. Where is he coming? To Odessa?
S: Yes, this is for sure. He is flying in tomorrow. He will have some kind of negotiations with our local business people and also with certain pro-Russian elements. If you are interested, we can detain him for 48 hours, but we need you to send us some sort of warrant within this time.
T: Um... At this time, you know... I don't have data whether criminal case has been initiated against him. I don't have info if a warrant has been issued for his arrest, although in my opinion such action would be well justified (LR: says pro-Western president of a 'democratic' country!).
S: I heard that he is wanted by your law enforcement, no?
T: Yes... um... police is after him, but I don't know if prosecutor actually issued arrest warrant. I don't know since I deal with different things. But if you want to arrest him in Odessa, we won't mind or interfere.
S: We don't have any grounds to arrest him as it is. So, he arrives, meets with people... As long as he doesn't make bombs and starts revolutions here. Of course we will shadow and watch him. But I thought you would be more interested in his arrival.
T: So far he isn't considered an escapee. He flew to Russia the day before yesterday. There were rumors he wanted to escape a looming arrest. (LR: just imagine prez of a country, even a small one, keeping such a close watch over 'a mere activist' as he is portrayed, and knowing all these details. Read on for more revelations!) I'll talk to our law enforcement to see what we can do.
S: I heard he illegally published some sort of phone conversations?
(LR: Usatii obtained from a whistleblower and made public conversations between Moldavian top banker and country's prime minister, in which they discussed how to launder that billion that disappeared from the country, and other similar things. Publication of such damning evidence caused sacking and jailing of ex-PM. It also caused mass riots and protests, of which you read above in this report.
Despite the fact that everything in that tape was true, Usatii was threatened with jail. He flew to Moscow, but returned to Moldavia within a few days, where his followers waited for him to continue protests. Upon arrival, he was indeed arrested straight at the airport. A week or so later he was let go, but his health took a bad turn: he experienced a flare up of diabetes and landed in a hospital. This broke the protest momentum and protests little by little died down, achieving nothing substantial.
The main protesters' demands were not met: president Timofti didn't resign, investigation into the missing billion never took place, new elections were not scheduled. In short, my prediction that it would take at least until 2017 to shake up the present uneasy equilibrium, materialized.)
Continuing Saak/Timofti conversation:
S: So, we can arrest him for 48 hours, search him for any materials he may be carrying...
T: You know what, I don't have enough info right now. If you have reasons to arrest him, or anyone else, and then let our law enforcement know after you did, then we could cooperate with you as law enforcement of friendly states usually would. But you caught me so off-guard with this, I don't know what else to say.
S: Let's do it this way. It will be silly if we detain him and then have to let him go. Give us someone we can get in touch with, who can give us instructions and who is on top of it.
T: I can give you the phone of our Attorney General and Ministry of Foreign.. um... Internal Affairs. I myself will be calling them now to find out what's going on.
S: Right. It won't look good if we just detain him, and then have to let him go.
T: Agree, that won't be good. We need to get in touch with our national security services.
S: Maybe you could hurry them up. Tell them to call me back asap.
T: I have some meetings coming up, but I'll give your info to the right people...
Video at 5:30 - New conversation with some CONSPIRACY BOMBS BEING DROPPED!
Speaking: Arsen Avakov, Ukraine interior minister (LEFT image on screen) and Moldavian minister of interior, Oleg Balan (RIGHT image on screen). Of course, in this case, Avakov is again fake, as everyone from Ukraine side. Balan, as all Moldavians on this tape, is for real.
Avakov (A), Balan (B)
B: Allo.
A: Allo, good day. This is Avakov, Ukraine minister of interior.
B: Good day. I didn't see your number on screen and almost didn't pick up.
A: I am calling from our exchange number. It's about Renato Usatii. Our leadership already spoke with your president about that. Usatii is coming to Odessa tomorrow where he'll be meeting with business partners. I was charged with detaining him for 48 hours so we can pass him on to your side. How do you think would be best to accomplish that?
B: I'll have to think about it. How can we get in touch with you?
A: Um... call me back at this number.
(LR: Attention! Bomb about to be dropped!!)
B: I was about to call you on another matter today. We'll probably have a separate talk on that, but let's have a preliminary. Our ministry is purchasing from your country, Ukraine, gas grenades for half a million lei. We need your permission to retrieve them from your territory on our interior ministry's vehicles. We don't want to use civilian transportation.
A: You mean tear gas grenades?
B: Yes, right.
A: This must be because of your ongoing mass protests...
B: Yes, yes... We have our budget money for the purchase. Government gave us budget.
A: Whose equipment are we talking about?
B: Yours, Ukrainian!
A: No problem, we'll handle it. I'll be waiting for your call.
New call: Balan (B), Prankster Vovan (PV), Avakov (A)
B: Good day. This is Oleg Balan from Kishinev, interior minister. Calling to speak with Arsen Avakov.
PV: Yes, yes. This is his assistant.
B: How can I talk to him?
PV: I'll tell him. He'll be available in five minutes and he'll dial you back.
B: While he's busy, I decided it would be best if my people went there (LR: to Odessa) to decide on the spot what to do with our man. He knows what I'm talking about (LR: this is about Usatii). Or tell him to pass the number my people can call. He'll know what I'm talking about.
Later:
A: Hello again. This is Avakov. I'll give you my man's number. His name is Maxim.
B: One moment... I'll call my head of the department of special operations and he'll send his people there. It's better than by phone. My guys will go there and explain everything to them personally, get everything resolved face to face.
9:05 New call between operatives. Maxim (M) - fake Avakov's man, Valera (V) - real deputy head of special services of Moldova (see his pic on screen at 9:05).
(LR: notice, as the conversation gets handled by professionals, they are increasingly more and more tight-lipped. No names and they even avoid mentioning Odessa. It appears something is telling them to be careful - let's hand it to them, they aren't as stupid as their bosses. This specific guy is especially careful and suspicious. Check it out!)
V: Hello, Maxim Olegovich. My name is Valera. I am deputy head of special operations. I was told to call you about tomorrow's events, you know...
M. Look here. He is arriving tomorrow at 17:55 by Aeroflot. Flight SU1828. Then he is going to Hotel Bristol, he reserved it. We will shadow him from the airport. It would be good if we met ahead of his arrival.
V: Yes, this is why I'm calling. It's too late tonight. But I can be there first thing tomorrow morning.
M: We are ready to go on our end.
V: I wanted to ask, what do you need from us?
M: Well, we are thinking about detaining him formally for 48 hours.
V: Yes, you'll 'pack him for 48.'
M. I need some sort of warrant from you. I was told he must show up for an interrogation in your country...
V: True.
M: So, he won't show up tomorrow for sure. Therefore, you can issue a warrant the next day.
V: Aha...
M: I understand you have some sort of tapes...
V: Yes, I want to bring everything I've got on him when I come to see you tomorrow. We'll need to sit down and brainstorm with you. Can I call you in an hour? I'll be back in my office in ten and I'll go over what I have on him.
M: Are you coming alone or more of you...
V: What do we need more for? The fewer know the better.
M: I need someone who knows him well to recognize him...
V: I know him very well. I was in charge of his case. Ah, you probably mean that this is a very unpredictable person. I know him well. He is the kind of guy who could reserve plane and hotel and end up not arriving. He is an adventurer.
M: Ok...
V: Sorry, I am on the road and can't hear you very well. I'll call you in a hour.
M: Ok, call me back.
In an hour: again Valera (V) and Maxim (M)
M: Yes, Valera.
V: I was just waiting for our head of police to come out. He was talking to our interior minister. Someone has talked to him about this.
M: It was probably one of ours.
V: Are you from police or another department? Because no one explained to me.
M: I am with ministry of interior.
V: Ok. I'm bringing everything I have with me. I'll meet with you as early as you like. I can start at night and be there first thing.
M: Um... We are ready. Just arrive in the morning, whenever you can make it. We'll meet you.
V: Where should I come, address?
M: Oblast police headquarters. Evreyskaya 12 (Jewish Street 12). So we are planing on shadowing him from the airport to his meeting. We won't touch him at first, want to see with whom he is meeting and such. Then we'll probably take him after that.
V: So, you aren't decided yet whether to take him or not?
M: Why not. We can get it done no problem, but it'll depend on what kind of intel you'll bring me. If you produce a warrant it's one story... If not... I was given another task. He is supposed to be carrying some materials we want. I need to confiscate them from him.
V: Right. So, I'll be there in the morning.
A little later, same people:
V: My superiors are out of the meeting. Either way I'll be at your place tomorrow. How do I find you?
M: Look, Evreyskaya 12. Call me shortly before arrival. What are you bringing?
V: I'll bring everything I have. I'll be there at 8 am. Will I find you?
M: Yes, I'll be there, dealing with this case. Are you bringing warrant?
V: Umm... Let me just come and we'll talk in person. Don't want to say anything by phone.
M: Fine, till tomorrow. So, at 8?
V: Yes. I can be even earlier, but probably better at 8. I'll find you. We'll still be brainstorming tonight how to best handle it.
M: Fine. Have a good one.
V: You too.
New call, same people:
V: Maxim Olegovich, can you briefly tell me with what kind of business people is he meeting?
M: He's meeting with some people to buy some medical equipment for north Moldova, as I was informed. Yes, for north Moldova. What they will be doing in reality... so far no intel. In addition, he'll be meeting with some of our pro-Russian activists...
V: Are you sure that those businessmen are for real?
M: Yes, they really do sell medical equipment. But he'll also be talking with our pro-Russian activists...
V: Yes, I've heard, something about Bessarabia....
(LR: In Odessa Oblast there was - is - an organization called Bessarabskaya Republic, which has been attempting to organize a referendum to secede from Ukraine, possibly eventually forming one state together with Pridnestrovie, Gagauzia and north Moldova - Usatii's domain. However, all the activists of this organization were arrested and thrown in Ukrainian jail last year.)
V: Here's what we are thinking, f***. This man is very, very unpredictable. He likes to play games, likes surprises. I am thinking, f***....
(LR: this deputy head of special services of Moldova is beginning to lose it and is slipping into what is probably a regular way for him to express himself - through swears. I'll omit it going forward, but his speech is now peppered with them... Note that he speaks and swears in Russian, which certainly is his native language. He speaks Russian with a slight southern, or Ukrainian, accent).
V: I am thinking, why would he go to Ukraine? He isn't stupid. He may not show up - that's fully his style.
M: I don't know... I was told he was definitely arriving.
V: I know him very well. He can reserve his seat, tell everyone he's coming and then surface on the other side of the globe.
M: Ah, well. You decide what you want to do. As to us, we'll apprehend him...
V: No, no I got it. I can't tell you about warrant yet because I'm waiting for prosecutor. They are now talking with our minister. But I'll be there tomorrow either way. I'll show you what we have and I have a couple of things to discuss.
M: We, on our end, are doing everything in our power... I have to confiscate those materials he has on him...
V: Right, so I'll call you later. Will you be around?
M: Yes, yes, I'll be here. Call any time.
20:29 Peeved Moldavian president Timofti - excerpt from one of the phone conversations that weren't included on this tape:
Timofti: See, we now have a lot of provocations against Moldova and its president. If only you saw what kind of stuff they showed on Russian TV yesterday with some kind of Usatii, who is considered a bandit in Moldova. He has the nerve to say about me whatever he wants!
LR:
1.I can imagine the look on their faces the next morning, when Valera arrives to Odessa Oblast police headquarters on Evreyskaya 12 and demands to see the non-existent Maxim, claims he spoke with Avakov and that they agreed to work together on arresting Usatii!
2. I want to reiterate that all of them talk Russian in such a way that you can see it's their native language. Specifically prez Timofti's Russian is an absolutely educated, clean, literary Russian. Yanukovich or prez of Belarus Lukashenko speak Russian with much worse accents.
CONCLUSIONS AND PREDICTIONS
What is really happening in Odessa? What is their plan in regards to Odessa Oblast and surrounding territories?
Odessa and the surrounding Bessarabia lands are being prepared as Plan B. This includes Moldova and Pridnestrovie first and foremost; potentially it also includes Nikolaev and Kherson; as an extended version, it may also include Romania and Bulgaria.
If and when Poroshenko and Kiev junta won't be able to hang on to power any more, they want to attempt to reformat the city to make it into their base and domain. They can relinquish most of Ukraine, if they can hold on to the most prized remaining possession - Odessa.
Therefore, Plan B, when all else fails, is to fortify Odessa and Odessa Oblast so to create anti-Russian forepost in Black Sea. This forepost is supposed to be directly or indirectly managed by the US.
As we have seen in Igor Berkut's dire futurist prediction, they need Odessa to neutralize Russian fleet in Crimea, therefore, eliminating Russia's advantage and directly threatening Russia's soft underbelly. They will be able to control the western part of the sea, including the straits. Control of Odessa, if adequate US bases are built there, also allows them to control pre-Balkans/Balkans. When people in the Balkan/pre-Balkan region begin rising, it will be hard to keep them obedient. A huge US base in Odessa will serve as a big stimulus.
This is the reason Saakashvili was installed as governor. The plan was to use him as that proverbial ram that would demolish existing structures and reformat the city. His absolute clash with local culture, population's mentality and elites is also a necessary ingredient. He is supposed to break local culture, replacing it with a subservient to the new masters, alien culture.
What they didn't take into account is that Saakashvili is a major screw up. He couldn't keep his mouth shut and managed to antagonize much of the elite and population. He is still very popular among Ukraine radicals and ukro-nazis. But it's only a matter of time until he screws up completely. If he lost 1/3 of his own country, Georgia, while being its president, and consequently lost his presidency and citizenship, what makes anyone think it'll be different in Odessa?
Bottom line, Russia will NEVER allow Odessa to be used as a counter-weight to Crimea. Russia will NEVER allow US base to be completed in Odessa Oblast. Those who follow my work know that I have predicted from the very beginning of Kiev Maidan that Russia would never allow Crimea to fall into the hands of US and Kiev junta. This is exactly what happened.
In the case of Odessa I say absolutely confidently that Russia will play it in a similar way. Sure, Odessa has no Russian troops or immediate border with Russia. But the nearby Pridnestrovie, which borders Odessa directly, does have Russian troops.
However, this isn't even the most important thing. Russia has a lot more invisible leverage in the region than Kiev, US or EU can imagine. The fact that this leverage isn't being activated at this time doesn't mean it's not there. Being from Odessa, I can immediately name at least ten ways Russia can prevent US base from being completed. My readers will forgive me for not divulging them. I don't want to spoil the game...
Note, I mean completed. It may be allowed to begin, but it'll never see the day when US navy and troops move in.
In short, we can be sure that Odessa nuclear strike won't happen and that Saakashvili won't survive in his Odessa governor position past 2017.
It is the darkest before the dawn, but this dark hour leads to brilliant light of the early morning. It will get better - that's the good news. The bad news is that there is still a lot of hardship and confusion that people will have to go through. I said from the beginning of 2014 that before Ukraine wakes up and turns back toward Russia, the country's economy will be completely destroyed. Odessa will fare better than Ukraine on average - Odessa always tends to fare better due to its innate richness and ports. But it will suffer, too. There is no way around it. It is set in stone.
How soon the turnaround will happen depends on the outcome of US elections, how soon Ukraine economy hits the absolute bottom, how soon EU problems make it change its position, and how soon Russians decide to engage.
Are people in target areas learning their lesson and awakening?
Will Stratfor/US plans succeed? No, absolutely not. I'll tell you more. People in all the parts I have listed above had been naive, complacent and indifferent. Some had even succumbed to certain foreign propaganda or religious brainwashing. Those who masterminded the whole Black Sea Plan took advantage of this psychological factor to orchestrate Ukraine coup, take over Odessa and more.
But the more people in all surrounding countries watch the unfolding battle over Ukraine, the more they understand they are next. This applies to Europe as well. People are awakening. In some places slower and in others, where they have been hit directly in the forehead, faster.
The plan will not succeed under any circumstances. But it will require people saying NO. It will be happening in certain places soon, in some quietly and in others loudly. It will happen everywhere sooner or later.
Closing predictions for US and EU
We will continue seeing what I predicted time and again since 2014: US will continue losing its clout and reputation. EU politicians, who have become US stooges, some perhaps thinking they were doing the right thing, will also continue losing their reputation. This will go on until the new crop of politicians and other elites emerges. It will take a long time for Europe to heal itself from the surreal mass psychosis in which it has been living. It will take a partial breakup and slow reformatting of the EU. It may also take armed clashes of limited nature in some countries. Some countries will leave the EU and/or re-build their border defenses. The future of Schengen is not rosy.
But in the end, Europe will turn closer to Russia, in other words, the opposite of the US plan will take place. It will be different degrees of closeness to Russia, depending on the country. Some will be much closer than others. Europe will divide onto those who want to be associated closely with Russia and those who don't. EU won't be the same, if it survives at all. Probably not. But keep in mind that its disintegration (or reformatting) may take 10-15 years, so it won't happen until later.
As to the USA, it needs to find its new, more cooperative and, shall we say, more humble place in the world. This will be good for the USA and it will be good for the world. Eventually this will happen regardless of what US elites want to do, or not. But it depends on the US whether it happens the hard way, or the easy way.
