I choose to use this all-encompassing notion, signifying
your roots, family tree, both patri- and matri- lines. And it can mean a broader ancestry, such as your whole tribe, your ethnic and geographic origin, as well as your historic belonging!
Therefore, the cleansing and purification you engage in to help yourself and your family, can also help clear up the karma of your entire tribe, ancestry, or even country!

POWER EGREGORE PYRAMIDS:
An egregore is a non-physical entity or thoughtform created by the collective thoughts and emotions of a group of people. Egregores are a concept in esotericism and are considered to be powerful, autonomous psychic entities.
Once the thoughtform has been created, Power Egregores acquire a life of their own, presenting themselves in the astral Akashic realm as Pyramids.
It's groupthink, usually created by your Rod and your environment over a long period of time, often through generations, and it often includes faulty soul contracts and programming.

What if the liberator needs to part ways with family in the name of his/her health and sanity, I wonder?

Teresa,
You don't have to be 'inside' your family to create the purification and to liberate the entire ancestry from old karma, plaguing it. I can tell you that it's pretty heavy and entangled, as many people's.
You don't want to be entangled, thus limiting your vision and freedom of action, when you work on liberating.
It's a common misconception and 3D thinking that you have to be inside something in order to affect it. Not always, but often, it can be done even more effectively if you remove yourself from the issue. It all depends on personal circumstances, of course.
You actually have more power in the multidimensional astral realm if you detach from the problem.
These new technologies are designed to affect change astrally and multidimensionally. Physical proximity can even be a hindrance.
You probably knew in your soul that you had to separate to preserve the integrity of your soul and purpose.
