EARTH SHIFT REPORT 15:
PUTIN'S plutonium ULTIMATUM TO THE US
Why US bombed Syrian Army, killing 82
Did Russia really retaliate by sending 3 Kalibr missiles to destroy the US Field Ops Room, and why?
The real reason why US, UK, France and others are so furious
It is a well-known fact that the story of Aleppo and Syria that the Western MSM and political elites are painting is false. This is nothing new: vilifying Assad, Putin, Russia and anyone who isn't toeing the line is a normal practice in the West. This is done to sell the story to the masses of sheeple and dupes and to provide justification and cover for their own crimes.
We will not go into that in this Earth Shift Report. Rather, the goal of this section of ESR15 is to establish the real sequence of events, the truth about what really happened and why it happened. Moreover, we will reveal the truth about the underlying events that led to the Syrian army's bombing and the following Russian response. After that we will proceed to the truth about the UN convoy bombing.
******
On September 17, 2016 (this date is important because it was one day before Russian Duma Elections on September 18), US airforce, in coalition with UK, Australian and Danish jets attacked the Syrian forces based near the eastern city of Deir el-Zour. The initial death toll was reported at 62. Later it was reported that over 82 people were killed and over a hundred wounded. The strike came in several waves, therefore, US coughing it up to a 'mistake' wouldn't hold water even if we didn't have much more info. But we do. Read the full spread below!
UK, Danish and Australian governments quickly tried to disavow the actions of their pilots, saying that they didn't know anything. UK seemed to go as far as saying that they would allow prosecution of pilots guilty of the attack, should lawsuits be filed by victims. This in itself is extraordinary. Usually the standard explanation for any secret op of the US/West that goes wrong doesn't go beyond saying that was a mistake. Allowing prosecution of pilots is highly unusual. I don't know how far this will go - probably not too far.
As a result of this 'mistake,' Syrian forces lost their positions, which allowed local Islamic State group to recapture some of the territories and cause further damage to the Syrian army.
But what no one really knows - and it is deliberately hushed up in the West - is that Syrian army just a couple of days prior hit the positions of one of the ISIL/Al Nusra groups. The group was not a part of the so-called 'moderate opposition' (or should we call them 'moderate terrorists' whom US supports). It wasn't a part of the agreement between Kerry and Lavrov, which excluded US-backed 'moderate terrorists,' separating them from the 'immoderate' ones. The group was a full-fledged, armed to their teeth, honest to goodness ISIL branchout, who were supposed to be eliminated based on the UN resolution. This intel is from my Russian sources: when Syrian army legitimately hit the positions of that illegal group, it killed four American instructors who were working with them. What were Americans doing there? Good question: brought them weapons and were training them how to use them, would be my educated guess.
The hit against Syrian positions on September 17 was US retaliation for the four Americans.
The 17th has a special significance here. One day before Russian elections, it was estimated by the US that Russians would be too preoccupied with the elections and won't pay attention. But Russians were paying attention.
Only several hours after the US strike on Syrian forces near Deir el-Zour, Russian swift response followed. This again was unreported anywhere, except a few alternative sources. I wrote about it here: Libya 2.0? West demands Syria no-fly zone. Retaliation? Russian Kalibr Missiles strike US Intel Center. Here's a quote:
According to Fars News agency, Russian military ships launched three Kalibr cruise missiles; the strike hit the Dar Ezza joint intelligence coordination center for the US coalition, killing 30 Israeli and Western officers. The center, aka, Field Operations Room near Aleppo is staffed with officers from US, Turkey, UK, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Qatar. The center was hit after US coalition forces bombed the Syrian army. The intelligence center in question provided intelligence and played a leading role in making the bombing happen.
The Russian missiles did the job, killing 30 international officers, including Americans, and it appears, UK and French officers as well, among others. This explains the pandemonium that suddenly began after the Russian response strike, accusing Russia of war crimes in Syria, threatening to take away Russia's UNSC veto power, threatening new sanctions and Russia's isolation.
This alone explains the sudden confused hysterics of Kerry, UK FM Boris Johnson, French president Hollande not being sure if he should or shouldn't meet with Vladimir Putin. This alone also explains why suddenly US State Dept and Pentagon began boldly threatening Russia with retaliation, Russian pilots being taken home in body bags and terror attacks on Russian cities.
No one talks like that out of the blue, unless their fragile ego has just been dealt a serious blow. Of course, we are talking the under-evolved souls here, who form the foundation of the power structures of the US and EU. The hysterics and threats coming out of the mouths of all these FMs, presidents, generals and such were on the level of a moody five-year-olds whose fave toy has been taken away.
The reason for this deafening hysterics is clear: Russia's hit destroyed a very valuable, and probably irreplaceable, Field Operations Room near Aleppo, killing 30 valuable assets, including Americans, who were engaged in illegal espionage against Russian and Syrian forces, who assisted ISIL/Al Nusra terrorists, supplying them with secret intel, and who planned and coordinated the Deir el-Zour attack.
But again, this isn't the whole story. What was never said (I heard it as a hint from my Russian source) Russians took matters into their hands so boldly because three Russian officers were killed or wounded in the Deir el-Zour attack. The number 3, as in 3 Kalibr missiles, is meaningful - one per person. To remind everyone, only Russians are in Syria legitimately, at the invitation of Syrian government. Neither USA, nor UK, Israel, Turkey, Australia, or France have any right to be there. They have not been invited by anyone and their presence inside Syria is 100% illegal.
Now, the question becomes why US or EU are silent about the Russian strike on the Field Operations Room and why they won't admit their losses? Because the intel center in question and all those assets that were killed were there illegally. Moreover, they were engaged in illegal activities, such as spying on Russian and Syrian forces, passing intel on to ISIL and coordinating attacks against Syrian army. Like it happens in such cases, these assets have been disavowed by their governments. The governments cannot admit they were engaged in these activities because this would open a whole new can of worms.
Why Russians aren't admitting this? The reason here is more convoluted and may have to do with where the intel about the Field Ops Room came from. Bringing this up may expose Russian deep cover agents. I have my opinion, but I won't speculate on that here.
Therefore, US and UK, and possibly French citizens died, but - oh horror - they can't talk about it. This is the true reason US/UK/French rhetoric has been so crazy and hysterical lately. This is the true reason for the threats that 'Russians will be coming home in body bags,' that 'terror will come to Russian cities,' and that 'we should get ready for war with Russia.'
The following events confirm that.
False flag explained: Who and why bombed the UN humanitarian Convoy to Aleppo
Since US and its vassals couldn't do anything else, they decided to retaliate against Russian strike via a new provocation. I am talking about the strike against the UN humanitarian Convoy to Aleppo, which is blamed on Russia. Proof of that, as usual was never provided by the US. Why? Because it doesn't exist. The only explanation US and UK seem to have for their accusations is this: since the bombing occurred during nighttime and 'rebels' don't possess jets capable of operating at night, it must be Russians.
I again want to draw everyone's attention to the fact that those who throw these accusations just repeat a script. They aren't interested in the truth or proof. Their goal is to outscream the Russians, who talk from the level of calm reason and hard facts, in order to make the laymen around the world, but especially their own citizens, believe that Russia is evil. The principal geopolitical reason for the continuing hysterics is two-fold:
1. To get Hillary Clinton to the US Elections on the horse, so to speak. There is an associated goal here of making Donald Trump look as bad as possible. Trump wanted to be friends with Russia - bad Trump, bad Trump. The worse they make Russia look, the better Hillary's Russophobia looks and the worse Trump's reasonable desire to negotiate with Russia appears to ignorant Americans.
2. They need to keep EU in the fold. EU is rebelling against Russian sanctions. EU is also refusing to fall completely under the US thumb by not signing the death sentence of TTIP. Actually, this struggle to sign or not to sign, to submit or not to submit, by the EU reminds me on a much larger scale of how Yanukovich couldn't make up his mind in 2013-14 whether to sign or not to sign the EU Association agreement. And we all know how it ended for him - and for Ukraine. The more Europe shows how spineless it is, the bigger the risk that the same will happen to the EU. It appears France and Hollande are already heading in this direction.
Part of keeping EU in the fold is continuing Russian sanctions, and better yet, intensifying them. US desperately needs sanctions to continue till at least after US Elections in November. This will help Hillary. But the opposite is equally true: should Europe rebel and cancel the sanctions, this would automatically help Trump. That's why US uses all means possible, from threats to bribes, to keep EU subservient. Joe Biden, during his recent visit to Kiev, admonished Poroshenko for not fulfilling Minsk agreements. He hinted that if Poroshenko doesn't start acting on Minsk agreements, US won't be able to keep some EU countries from repealing anti-Russian sanctions. We are hardly able to keep some EU countries in the fold, admitted Biden. As you know from my previous Earth Shift Reports on Ukraine, Biden is the official US occupation administration's head, and the boss of the 'sovereign Ukraine's president' Poroshenko.
But there's more. US needs sanctions to stay in place, or better yet, they want sanctions intensified, in order to keep them in place till after 2018 Russian Presidential Elections. The goal is to bring Putin to the elections as weakened as possible.
In 2014, after the Kiev junta coup and the beginning of war in Donbass, US struggled to convince EU to impose anti-Russian sanctions. Many in the EU were either unsure or against it. The wavering EU needed an additional boost. It came in the form of the Malaysian Airlines MH17 flight downing in Eastern Ukraine, which was within minutes and without any investigation blamed on Russia. After that, EU suddenly agreed to sanctions against the Russian 'aggressor.' The official reason for the sanctions was the 'annexation of Crimea.' When later EU started wavering again, the new reason to continue sanctions was dragged out: 'Russia isn't doing enough to fulfill Minsk agreements.' The reason, of course, is bogus. Russia, same as France and Germany, isn't a party to the agreements. The parties are Kiev, DNR and LNR. To this day Kiev failed to implement any part of the agreement, as admitted by the big boss Biden. Yet, no one's talking about sanctions against Poroshenko, Groysman or Ukraine.
Yet again, US searched hard for any bogus pretext in order to saddle the EU with another round of sanctions against Russia. The bombing of the UN convoy became such a convenient provocation.
Russian Ministry of Defence came out with a full analysis, hard facts and video proof of the actual picture of the UN convoy attack. Here is what Russian military has discovered. Russian drone accompanied the convoy of the UN trucks all the way to the destination and watched it unload safely. This is important - pay attention! The convoy actually reached the destination and unloaded its cargo! Therefore, whatever it was carrying was received by the recipient.
After the drone saw that the cargo was safely unloaded, it left. But before it did, it sent to the command center its aerial footage. The Russian drone aerial footage shows that while the humanitarian convoy is moving towards Aleppo, there is an unauthorized high caliber mortar that rides next to it, accompanying it for a while. Then, at one point, mortar disappears.
Twenty minutes after the Russian drone left, the EMPTY UN convoy was attacked.
Russians also analysed the close-up footage of the aftermath of the attack. UN claims that they lost 20 people in that attack, although no bodies were shown. Moreover, at first the attack was announced without any victims. It was only a day or two later that the body count was added - probably for added effect and to convince more dupes that Russians are villains, who bomb innocent humanitarian workers delivering aid to starving children of Syria. After that, UN announced the suspension of humanitarian aid missions to Aleppo.
Russian military did analysis of the close up footage of the supposed 'burning UN trucks.' Here's what they found:
1. While the bodies of trucks were all gone and burned, the truck cabins were all strangely intact. It's hard to imagine that Russian bombs would cause such selective damage: single Russian bomb hit would have destroyed the whole truck or possibly even multiple trucks grouped closely together. Another question is this: if truck cabins are all intact, where did the victims come from?
2. This is especially damning: the bodies of trucks, where the fresh Russian shrapnel supposedly hit them several days ago had shrapnel holes that were corroded. This obviously means that these trucks were scrap, dragged onto that road, bombed from that mortar the Russian drone noticed and set on fire. The cabins may have been from different trucks, possibly from the real UN convoy. Where the actual drivers of the truck are is anyone's guess. For all we know they were MI6 or CIA assets, who were part of the op. Alternatively, they could have been killed by those who executed this provocation, as unwanted witnesses.
Did Russia really retaliate by sending 3 Kalibr missiles to destroy the US Field Ops Room, and why?

Libya 2.0? Is no-fly zone in Syria possible?
Why Russia sent the anti-missile air-defence
S-300 systems to Syria
Once we understand what and why really happened with the Syrian army's bombing by the US and the subsequent bombing of the 'UN convoy,' we can understand the following moves. The no-fly zone over Syria is an attempt to execute Libya 2.0 scenario. Sometimes people blame Russia for not vetoing the UNSC Libya no-fly zone resolution, which lead to Libya's destruction and takeover by ISIL.
I spoke about that in ESR5, ESR7 and ESR13: Russia at the time didn't feel as strong as today; Qaddafi failed to make powerful friends and put all his money on improving relations with the West, snubbing Russia; and even if Russia did veto it, US and West still would have gone in like they did in Iraq. No veto would have stopped them. Libya was on the US hit list. So is Syria. The crucial difference is that Syria and Assad made sure they made powerful friends and also made sure they didn't betray these friends when the West dangled flashy beads in front of their noses, like Qaddafi did. Another crucial difference is that Russia has now recovered sufficiently, to say No to the US.
Therefore, if it isn't Aleppo, then it will be some other pretext for the no-fly zone. There is no escaping or pacifying the global mafia boss other than counter-force. The sad thing is that it was the US stooge France who proposed the no-fly zone this time at the UNSC. It was also France, plus Ukraine, who proposed to take away Russia's right to veto at the UNSC, after Russia vetoed French resolution on Syria no-fly zone.
Response Russian Syria resolution, which sided with the proposal of the official UN representative on Syria De Mistura was vetoed by US, UK and France the same day. The Russian resolution supported De Mistura's offer to give safe passage to terrorists out of Aleppo, including their light weapons and guaranteeing their safety. This humanitarian move would ensure that the remaining 55 thousand Aleppo citizens they still hold hostage would be freed. At this time, terrorists from ASIL/al Nusra use them as a human shield.
Russian information is that under the terrorists 'umbrella' there remain 80 thousand people. The rest have fled or are located in safer areas, under the control of the Syrian army. Aleppo used to be a city of 1 million+. Since then it diminished to 300,000 people (read my recent article Mass Migration: What Happens if a Country Gains or Loses its Life Force? (US, EU, Russia, China, Ukraine, Syria).
Out of the 80 thousand remaining as hostages in the militant-controlled area, about 25 thousand are families of the militants. The rest are those who chose to remain or who were unable to get out on time. Therefore, we arrive at the number of 55 thousand of peaceful civilians. The terrorists in Aleppo place their headquarters and arms depots in mosques and schools. This way they are sure these targets won't be bombed by Russian Airforce. One of the things my sources tell me is that the Russian bombings of Aleppo practically seized due to risks to the population. The only bombings are when they find a headquarters or a conference where many chieftains gather at once.
Another, perhaps the biggest, problem with Aleppo is the presence of the very extensive underground catacombs under the city. This is probably one of the most extensive underground passage systems in the world. It is well known that hiding out in catacombs is a very effective technique used by various groups in the Middle East. It's possible to blow up catacombs, getting rid of all such terrorists in one move, but unfortunately, there is the population on top. There would have been mass casualties. Therefore, this version is not even considered - that's to the issue of Assad being despot who doesn't care about his people, or to the issue of Russia being a villain. This will be a slow going, and Syrian army will have a lot of casualties hunting these militants down one by one.
As we see, by vetoing Russian resolution, which would authorize taking militants out of Aleppo, thus saving the population, US and its allies protect ISIL/al Nusra and those who use Syrians as human shield. Of course, should these militants head out of Aleppo where they are entrenched, they eventually become easier targets for Russian jets. In fact, US and allies want to preserve these valuable, well trained terrorists. Why do they need them? They need them for the continuing destabilization of the region, and if possible, for future deployment to Russia and China. Billions of dollars were invested by the well-known players into training and arming these terrorists. The main players are: US, UK, Qatar, Saudis, Turkey. They are trying to save their investment.
Therefore, a no-fly zone over Syria is designed to accomplish two things:
1. Save the multi-billion investment into prized terrorists and militants by the US, Saudis and allies.
2. Tie up Russian and Syrian hands so to eventually execute the bombings of Syria with subsequent removal Assad from power.
But this time Russia is paying attention. The moment the talk of the no-fly zone resurfaced, Russia announced that the new S-300 systems were en route to Syria. The S-300 modification sent to Syria this time is such that it covers several neighboring countries.
If you recall my previous ESRs on Syria and Turkey, Russia already has S-400 systems in Syria, which protect the Russian Hmeymim air base and Russian jets flying missions from there. A battery of S-400 was placed there after Turkey shot down Russian Su-24, returning from a mission. Read all about that in ESR7 and ESR13, and more on the new developments below.
Below: S-300
Why Russia sent the anti-missile air-defence

The S-300 (NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble) is a series of initially Soviet and later Russian long range surface-to-air missile systems produced by NPO Almaz, based on the initial S-300P version. The S-300 system was developed to defend against aircraft and cruise missiles for the Soviet Air Defence Forces. Subsequent variations were developed to intercept ballistic missiles.
S400 is a newer, more advanced and longer range model, compared to S300.
The S-400 Triumf (Russian: C-400 «Триумф», Triumph; NATO reporting name: SA-21 Growler), previously known as S-300PMU-3, is an anti-aircraft weapon system developed by Russia's Almaz Central Design Bureau in the 1990s as an upgrade of the S-300 family. It has been in service with the Russian Armed Forces since 2007.
The S-400 uses three different missiles to cover its entire performance envelope. These are the extremely long range 40N6, long range 48N6 and medium range 9M96 missile.
Below: S-400 Triumf
It has to be noted that there are no analogs to Russian S-300 system. Any US weapons simply don't compare. There is absolutely no countering these missiles either. Once they are out of their home, the result will be achieved. Everyone knows their unsurpassed effectiveness and every country covets them, but very few are able to obtain them. The S-300 systems are so deadly that US made an absolutely out of this world multi-year effort to prevent Iran from purchasing them. Russia recently announced that S-300 are being finally delivered to Iran.
The most recent news is that at the BRICS Summit in India, which opened on October 15, 2016, Russia and India signed a $5 billion deal based on which Russia will deliver several batteries of S-400 Triumf to India. Therefore, India becomes the second country to receive the exclusive S-400. A contract to supply S-400 to China was signed earlier.
Therefore, Russia has sent a message that Syria is covered fully by the S-300 and S-400. Previously Russia never supplied S-300 to Syria, despite its government pleas. The reason was the pleas of neighbors, primarily Turkey and Israel, saying that the balance of power in the region would be altered irrevocably, should S-300 get into Syrian hands. Russia listened to that for years. But now, as the situation in the region has been destabilized to the point of no return, plus US and allies do everything to destabilize it further, the old balance of power argument flies out the window.
Russia announced that, in addition to S-300 and S-400 stationed at the Russian bases, for the first time ever S-300 will be supplied to Syrian government.
Those of us who live in large countries can't imagine the small distances between most countries. In that region the range of 250-300 km these S-300 cover (in reality the range it's substantially longer: the officially declared range was understated on purpose) means that they control the airspace not only over Syria, but also deep into Turkey and Israel. Therefore, these missiles are capable of taking out enemy aircraft on takeoff at Israeli bases, and NATO bases in Turkey.
Consequently, Russia's swift move prevents US from executing a Libya 2.0 scenario in Syria.
It has to be additionally mentioned that Russia, with her steadfast actions in Syria, contrasted by the confused and underhanded actions of the US, acquires more and more allies and followers in the world. Seeing that, the anti-Russian propaganda and hysteria will continue reaching new heights in the West and in those MSM sources around the world that are in the US pocket - and unfortunately, that's the majority.
What is Putin's plutonium ultimatum & Russia's bold demands
Why US can under no circumstances fulfill these demands
The true Plutomium story - why is it so important?
Subsequent freeze of most Russia-US nuclear cooperation
How Russia, with one move, can plunge US into darkness
The plutonium story has been silenced in the West, but I'll tell you what really happened and why. The trigger for the Russian Plutonium Ultimatum became the US provocations in Syria. Another reason for the ultimatum is the US meddling in the Russian elections and a preparation of a post-election coup in Russia. All this is covered in ESR11: THE IMPORTANCE OF THE RUSSIAN DUMA ELECTIONS 2016.
In the year 2000 Russia and US made a historic agreement: the destruction of 64 tons of weapons grade plutonium. Each side pledged to destroy 32 tons of plutonium. At the time Russia possessed about 75 tons of plutonium and US stockpiles amounted to over 100 tons.
To bring this into perspective, the first nuclear bomb US dropped on Japan's Hiroshima was a uranium bomb. The second one was the Nagasaki bomb, which destroyed the entire city and killed tens of thousands of people, making hundreds of thousands, if not millions crippled for life. The Nagasaki bomb contained 6.2 kilos of plutonium. The atomic bombs US dropped on August 9, 1945 on Japan remain to this day the only war usage of nuclear weapons. The bombs were dropped, as admitted by the US, not to punish Japan, which was about to surrender. It was a demo, to show the Russians 'the new big stick' the US gorilla possessed.
The only thing that stopped US from ever using atomic bombs again was the fact that Russia caught on to the arms race and produced her own bombs in record time. Since then, both US and Russia have been stockpiling uranium and plutonium. The stockpiled plutonium of both superpowers can destroy the entire human race many times over.
Why such a fuss about plutonium and why is no one talking about uranium?
The thing is that uranium, the original material for nuclear bombs, is more stable than plutonium. This makes it more abundant in nature and less suitable for bombs. This is why the usage of uranium was abandoned a long time ago in favor of plutonium. Plutonium's half life is very substantially lower than uranium's, making it a lot less stable, which in turn means that it hardly appears in natural form. But it is an abundant byproduct of uranium enrichment and that's how it is artificially produced in industrial quantities. The very instability, or volatility, of plutonium makes it a much better material for a bomb.
Very few countries possess the weapons grade plutonium enrichment technology and the secret is very strictly guarded. We know for example that Iran tried to develop this technology and failed. Previously the USSR, and now Russia, invested in a much more effective and advanced technology of plutonium production, compared to that used by the US. As a result, Russia is far ahead of the US in all technologies associated with nuclear fission. This includes the weapons grade plutonium enrichment and the opposite process of de-weaponization and utilization of said plutonium. It also includes the fuel for nuclear power stations, Gen 5 nuclear reactors, fail-safe nuclear power plants, and much more.
When the US-Russia plutonium agreement was signed in 2000, both parties agreed to build specialized plants that would de-weaponize 32 tons of plutonium each, making it safe for use as fuel for nuclear power plants. Both parties signed a number of other agreements, some of which centered around the prohibition of new nuclear tests, pledges to reduce nuclear stockpiles and refrain from producing the new weaponized plutonium.
Russia built its plutonium utilization plant in record time, spending $250 mln. The Russian plant has been working and actively re-purposing Russian plutonium, per agreement. When degraded, plutonium cannot be re-used in weapons any more. It is only suitable to be burned in nuclear plant reactors.
For its part, to this day US failed to build the plant it agreed upon in 2000. For years this has been a problem brought up by the Russian side. US announced that they had spent either $5 or $8 billion on the unfinished plant. Where the money really went is anyone's guess. On the US invasion of Iraq or on the subversion of Ukraine, as a couple of options.
Recently, USA announced that they ran out of money and that they are abandoning the de-weaponized uranium plant construction. Instead, US announced they will now be burying their weapons grade plutonium in the earth at the depth of 150 meters.
When buried in its original weaponized state, plutonium can certainly get unburied at any moment and utilized in weapons. In other words, Russia has been destroying its weaponized plutonium stockpiles since mid-2000s, and US has been trying to buy time, while pulling the wool over the eyes of Russians.
Of course Russians saw what went on and brought it up more than once. US simply shrugged off the Russian concerns. The last warning from Putin came in April 2016. Answering the questions of the foreign press, he warned that if US doesn't star honoring the deal, Russia will act accordingly. Again, as it is so common with the 'exceptional' US elites, they failed to hear the message.
After that, Russia's move was already a given. Putin just waited for the right moment to announce it. After the US bombing of Syrian army and attempted coup in Russia, he made his move.
Putin announced that since US wasn't fulfilling its side of the bargain, Russia will withdraw from the 2000 Plutonium Agreement. Further, Putin announced that plutonium thus saved will now be directed to the production of new weapons.
After that Russia went further and announced the freeze of all cooperation with US in the nuclear sphere. This concerns both military and peaceful atom cooperation. Any number of joined projects and trade, including scientific exchanges and mutually agreed inspections, are involved. It quickly transpired that US needed Russian cooperation a lot more than Russia needed USA's. The US officials started coming out with hurt and perplexed pronouncements, such as: 'Oh, what a shame. We regret so much Russia decided to pull the plug. This is such a disaster we have no idea what to do..." An innocent damsel in distress kind of tune...
Putin replied that the cooperation and the plutonium deal could be brought back to life if... And he outlined the conditions. I am sure there was a look of utter incredulity when US officials saw the list of demands that could not be described other than a middle finger. Here are Russia's demands:
1. Stop to all anti-Russian sanctions.
2. Compensation to Russia for all losses associated with US sanctions against Russia, and compensation for the Russian losses associated with the return Russian sanctions.
3. Repeal of the Magnitsky Act, according to which Russian elites were sanctioned at will to punish them for being loyal to Putin. Alternatively, the elites could be dangled the possibility of sanctions to prevent them from supporting Putin. In other words, this is one of the mechanisms US uses to keep a sizable 5th column in Russia.
Who was Sergey Magnitsky? This is a story in itself. The US will make you think he was a lawyer. In reality he was a bookkeeper who helped his boss, the Hermitage Capital, launder the money out of Russia. The Hermitage Capital was a cover for the CIA/MI6 spy and sabotage operation that functioned in Russia in mid-2000s. Magnitsky was arrested, after which he mysteriously died in jail. It is a confident opinion that he was deliberately removed by CIA for fear of what he might tell the Russians. US made a big deal out of his death and promptly, without any investigation adopted the Magnitsky Act. There is much more to the story and one day I'll tell you all about the Operation Quake.
4. Last of the voiced out Putin's demands: US must withdraw all its bases and troops from the areas near borders with Russia. It was specified that all US bases have to leave the countries that joined NATO in 2000 and thereafter. This essentially means that US troops must vacate the entire Eastern Europe.
5. The final threat of the Plutonium Ultimatum was unspoken, but strongly implied. When Russia came back with additional announcement of the freeze of the peaceful atom cooperation, one element of this cooperation was left untouched. I am sure that the info you'll read below is completely silenced, and possibly falsified, in the US. I recently spoke with a US nuclear specialist, who positions himself as an insider, yet he has no idea about this.
It turns out that Russia supplies most fuel to the US nuclear power stations. No matter how much noise US and the West make about transitioning to alternative energy, the reality is that 40% of US power comes from nuclear power plants.
I am often asked by readers why so much talk about oil, natural gas and nuclear fuel. Why am I, and why isn't Russia, not concentrating on clean alternative energy, and even better, on FREE ENERGY. Of course the clean alternative energy and the so-called 'free energy' is a marvelous idea - in principle. I am all for it. The problem isn't me or Russia: the problem is humanity's level of consciousness.
To get there, humanity has to be at a completely different level of the consciousness development. 5th dimension is the threshold for the effective clean energy use. As to the 'free energy,' those who throw this term around have zero idea of its meaning. Incidentally, Russia has been working on the Tesla coil and other 'free energy' experiments. When the time comes, I expect Russia to be at the forefront of the new technologies, as the global energy superpower she is.
That said, the consciousness level of humanity is nowhere near the required 5th dimension, which is the first truly cooperative dimension. Humans have't learned to work well with 3D yet. 4D is presently in the offing, but 4D is also a confrontational dimension. It is the home of nuclear power and natural gas, and a leap from the 3D coal and wood. Hence, so much development in these areas.

Therefore, since Russia controls the US nuclear fuel market, if Russia decides to pull the plug on her nuclear fuel supplies to the US, it will plunge the United States into darkness.
You may ask why US doesn't produce its own fuel, or why wouldn't it buy it from other sources? First, US dropped the ball and stopped producing its own nuclear fuel. Meanwhile, the science and technology kept moving forward. US cannot reintroduce its production cycle - it takes years to build a plant. Besides, even if US did, it doesn't have modern technologies. See, with real nuclear plants that generate real energy you can't fake it, like the Hollywood-faked US flights to the moon.
On the other hand, Russia possesses the best peaceful atom technologies out there, Russian fuel is the safest and cleanest. This is the reason US buys Russian fuel. In addition, US can try to go to another country for fuel, but as we have established, it's a very select club. And even those who can produce such fuel are unable to produce it in quantities necessary to sustain the huge American economy.
So, this is something that every American should be aware of: if US continues taunting Russia with threats, sanctions and other nonsense, it is not impossible to imagine the situation in which Russia pulls the plug on nuclear fuel supply. If somehow we imagine a purely accidental coincidence when China simultaneously decides to dump all US dollars in its possession, the US may have Armageddon in no time.
Are US and UK turning into big Ukraines?
US and UK threaten Russia with war?
The US and UK threatened Russia with more sanctions. But they didn't stop there. This must be the new diplomacy of the West and they must have learned it from Ukraine. The previous 'minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine' by the last name of Deshchitsa in 2014 joined the thugs attacking the Russian embassy in Kiev and proclaimed that he would have loved to throw paint bombs and rocks at it as well, but he can't because of his post. To be sure, that 'minister' was fired from his post that same night, and now anyone hardly recalls his name.
But how much lower have the US and UK sunk! The US State Dept spokesman, who's a voice of the US diplomacy and a US Navy admiral, threatened Russia with its pilots coming home in body bags and with terror acts on Russian streets. The UK's chief diplomat Boris Johnson called on millions to come out with protests to the Russian embassy in London. You might recall I talked about Boris Johnson in ESR 12: THE FUTURE OF THE EU, where I said that I didn't trust him, despite all the seemingly right noises he made at the time of BREXIT. That said, Johnson's rhetoric appears to be some of the mildest in the UK. There are others who call for the preparation of war with Russia. A similar chorus sounds from the US.
Is there a threat of new 'Syria' anti-Russian sanctions
Why US needs new round of sanctions, and what will EU do?
Yes, there is a threat of the new Syria anti-Russian sanctions. This threat has been voiced by the US and its stooges in the EU. US needs to try to scare Russia. It also needs to help Hillary Clinton.
Russia is prepared for the new sanctions. This is the situation when Russians finally grasped that no matter what, the West will find a way to impose sanctions on Russia. If it's not Syria, it will be something else. When the EU bulked in 2014, MH17 false flag was conveniently concocted, to be blamed on Russia and Russia-supported DPR. That promptly made the EU agree to impose sanctions on Russia.
Today, EU is very ready to take sanctions off the table. Farmers all over the EU strike against sanctions and some countries have been rebelling. Two dozen Italian parliamentarians and business people - the biggest official foreign delegation ever - visited Crimea in October, 2016. These officials and politicians represent the 5 regions of Italy whose regional parliaments have already recognized Crimea as part of Russia. These regions have begun trade and business cooperation with Crimea, despite threats from EU and Ukraine.
Cracks are appearing in the armor of the US and EU. To temporarily patch up these cracks and to get EU back under its thumb, US needs a new false flag and a new round of anti-Russian sanctions. The false flag is the supposed bombing by Russia of the UN convoy, plus the supposed bombings by Russia of the peaceful citizens of Aleppo.
The fact that US routinely bombs countries as it pleases doesn't bother them. The fact that US supports, arms and finances terrorists who are holding citizens of Aleppo hostage, using them as human shield, doesn't matter to them either. The US Empire's ship is sinking and they'll lie, cheat, steal and kill in order to keep it going a little bit longer.
US has many methods of blackmailing, buying and squeezing the EU, its individual countries and politicians, in order to get what they want. In this case they'll try to push through a new round of tougher sanctions. But I don't think it'll go very far. EU will be paying it lip service but won't go much further. US will succeed in having the sanctions on till after Russian Presidential Elections 2018, in order to try and weaken Putin coming into the elections. However, this also will achieve very little, if anything at all.
After the elections Russia won't care any more if there are sanctions or not.
Here's why. The sanctions, as I predicted since 2014, will have the opposite effect. Sure, Russia has to go through rough patches and difficulties. But that's the nature of any major change. The Great Earth Shift is one of the biggest changes we've seen. Due to the genius and correct understanding of the situation by Putin and his team, Russia will go through this major shift comparatively peacefully and swimmingly.
Russia is busy rebuilding her financial, economic and political models to correspond with her renewed sovereign superpower status. As long as Russia and Putin withstand the pressure now - and they will - there will be nothing US/West will be able to do after 2018. It'll be too late, as there will be no levers left for them to push.
EU businesses understand that. Some politicians, if they are not US stooges, start to understand that as well. This is why some regions try to make connections with Russia and Crimea bypassing their respective central governments.
Russian market will soon be occupied entirely by local products and imports from the counties that don't join the sanctions. The loss of such big and easy to work with market will be a big blow to the EU. In short, those who are smart will be bypassing any sanctions. I said in the beginning of 2016 that the sanctions will continue in name only. The situation will continue developing in the same direction for a while.
Of course, the tough rhetoric of the US is in big part due to elections. In another part, it's due to the need to distract US citizens and its satellites from paying attention to their own economic and political crises.
Putin cancels visit to France - what does it mean?
France as a laughing stock? Hollande's last days as president? - As predicted in 2012
Why Merkel picked up the torch: Putin, Hollande, Poroshenko for tea in Berlin?
Vladimir Putin's schedule is very tight. Today he is in Goa, India, for the BRICS Summit, where some very lucrative and strategic deals have been signed, including the $5 billion S-400 deal. Just days prior, Putin was the guest of honor at the World Energy Summit in Ankara, where US was shunned, and where the likes of Saudi Arabia and Qatar intently listened to his key note address, sending oil prices higher (more on that below).
India-Russia Summit as part of the BRICS Summit in Goa, India. Putin met with India PM Modi. $5 bln deal was signed for the delivery of several batteries of S-400 to India. The only other foreign recipient of S-400 Triumf is China.
But in the West Putin is the manifestation of the 'devil' and all that's 'evil' in the world.
Of course he is! After all, he led Russia, the Great Balancer, out of the near destruction and back into her rightful place.
Of course he is! He is the one presiding over the Great Earth Shift, when the balance of power on planet Earth is being rebalanced to be distributed more equitably among the world's countries.
This takes away a great deal of the ill-gotten power from the Western elites. They can't allow this to happen. The fact that they successfully managed to dupe and recruit as their chorus the majority of their respective populations, who honestly believe that Russia and Putin are evil aggressors, does not, in my opinion, absolve these populations from responsibility. The sheeple may be victims of propaganda, but they are also perpetrators, if they fail to see that actions of their respective governments create instability and wars, that it was the West that always initiated aggressions, and that it was always Russia that put an end to these aggressions.
The longer the collective West plays this imaginary game of make believe, called 'Putin is isolated and Russia is a pariah nation,' as the UK FM Boris Johnson recently proclaimed, the more the West will become isolated from, and distrusted by, the rest of the world. They don't care YET, but it's too early in the game. The so-called third world and developing countries are on the rise and the West is on the decline. It may be a very gradual and slow decline, but it is a decline, nevertheless. (In another piece i'll discuss why the decline of the West is so slow and gradual - not an explosive decline some experts were predicting.)
So, Putin is in great demand around the world. Yet a couple of day ago, when Putin was supposed to visit Paris to meet with president of France, Hollande suddenly started having doubts if he should or shouldn't meet with Putin. The visit was planned for a long time in such a way so that Putin and Hollande could jointly open the brand new Russian Cultural Center and Orthodox Cathedral, built on the bank of the River Seine, in the very heart of Paris. The spot is spectacular and so is the complex. This prized spot, designated as part of the cultural ensemble of the French capital, had some very serious bidders, including Saudi Arabia, US and some other countries. France gave preference to Russia.
Just a few days prior, France experienced a humiliation at the UNSC, when Russia vetoed the French no-fly zone resolution. In response, France vetoed Russian resolution. But what no one knows is what was happening behind the scenes. And this is very important. Russian officials confirmed that they met with the French on the sidelines of the UNSC and discussed with them what changes they needed to make to their resolution in order for Russia to vote for it. France agreed to the changes. Then the French ambassador to the UN met with US reps. After the meeting with US the French backtracked on their promise to alter their proposed resolution.
Suddenly, just before the scheduled state visit by Putin, Hollande announced that perhaps the visit should be downgraded to a working visit. During the visit, said Hollande, I'll only discuss Syria and Russia's 'killing of the innocent civilians.' He also cancelled the grand opening of the Russian Center.
In response, Putin cancelled his vist to France, diplomatically adding that 'it appears President Hollande finds it inconvenient to meet. I'm sure we'll meet at a more convenient for him time.'
Hollande's reaction was precious. He immediately jumped and announced that he is ready to meet with Putin any time. Then he thought about it and added that at such meeting he would 'only discuss Syria.' Then the French came out with the new one: turns out Hollande didn't mean anything bad when he said that the Russian Center would not be on the agenda: Putin and Hollande could not open it for security reasons, due to a threat of terror attack.
Where do I begin... By saying such things Hollande confirmed for the whole world that he doesn't control his own country, and even his capital. He admitted that he could not ensure the safety of a visiting Head of State. He also confirmed that both he and France are just little, inconsequential puppets, whom puppet masters turn left or right, or whichever way they want.
Hollande confirmed that from the France of De Gaulle it turned into a little French Poodle for Saudis and US. It was Hollande who this time was designated by the puppet masters to bring up the question of taking away Russia's veto power in the UN. The chorus was provided by another puppet, Ukraine.
Just a quick historic note: Russia/USSR won the right to be one of the powers with veto in the UN Security Council based on the results of World War II. If Russian veto is taken away, then automatically UN ceases to exist as legitimate international institution. Simultaneously, any veto by the US, UK and France become meaningless and lose any legal status.
Five countries have veto power in the UNSC, based on the results of WWII: Russia, US, UK, France and China. Out of these the official winners of WWII were only three: Russia, US and UK. France was given the right of veto and seat on the Security Council ONLY at the insistence of Russia. So was China. Without Russia neither of them would be there. In fact, when Hitler's generals were signing German Capitulation in 1945 and they saw the French among the Allies, they remarked sarcastically: 'And to those we lost, too?'
Hollande's gaffe was immediately noticed by his political rivals and French media. He was attacked from left and right. Ex-president of France, right-winger Sarkozy, had a field day, and so did the French press, calling Hollande spineless and his treatment of Russia shameful, saying that Hollande buried the proud status of France as a European power and turned it into a nobody. Now no one will take France seriously, said Sarkozy. Even in the times of crisis France played a balancing role and found ways to have a dialogue with Russia, per Sarkozy (true).
Sarkozy is attempting to get into the race for the new presidency, which he lost to Hollande in 2012. He tries to position himself as a true leader, the opposite to that 'toe rag Hollande.' The story of the 2017 French Elections will be interesting and we'll discuss it closer to the date. (Recall my 2012 prediction of Hollande's win, followed by the predictions that Hollande won't be able to fulfill the heartfelt wishes of his voters and may lose the following election. This is already manifesting as true; Hollande's rating is dismal and he is expected to lose).
What I want to draw your attention to is that Russia and Putin are dominating the election campaign in the US, and also in France. This isn't by accident and it denotes Russia's status as The Great Balancer, as well as the fact that various countries are choosing whether to be on the right, or on the wrong, side of history.
As a side note, when Putin cancelled the French visit, Merkel piped in and said that she would like to receive Putin, Hollande and Poroshenko for tea in Berlin, to talk about Ukraine.
The scheduled talk in the Normandy Format between Merkel, Hollande, Putin and Poroshenko on Ukraine during G20 Summit in China was canceled after Ukraine attempted to attack Crimea in order to sabotage Russian election of September 18. How fast the events move! This seems like ages ago, yet as I write this, it's only October 15! At the time, Putin said that there was no point in meeting with Poroshenko after the failed attack on Crimea. Poroshenko was punished by his invitation to G20 being revoked. Do you know how it puffs up the ego of any non-G20 leader to be invited and be seen rubbing shoulders with global elites? It would have risen the perceived status of Poroshenko in his own country and abroad.
Why did suddenly Merkel become so magnanimous? The reason is two-fold:
1. Merkel, Hollande, and even the US, realize very well that there is not much they can do without Russia on the global stage, so alienating Russia will only make their position more complicated. She is scrambling to somehow smooth out Hollande's gaffe.
2. German elections are on the horizon too, and regional German elections have shown that Merkel and her party lost support. Merkel is desperate to score some points - any points - to see if she can salvage her fledgling reputation.

Connection to the US Elections 2016 and Russian Elections 2018
Everything I am describing in this report has a direct connection to the US Elections and to Russian Presidential Elections 2018.
Trump has declared from the start that he respected Vladimir Putin and that he would try to return to normalcy in Russia-US relations. Hillary Clinton's strategy for winning is to juxtapose herself and her Russophobic hawkish views to those of Trump. After all the health and email scandals, Hillary needed something strong to vilify Trump. The convenient UN convoy false flag, as well as accusations of Russia bombing peaceful Syrians, I'm sure, were concocted a long time ago and just pulled out at the right moment. If Russia is tainted, they can say Trump is tainted too, and moreover, Trump is Putin's agent.
This is a typical dirty tactic of the US and NWO elites. They will always play dirty - as they always did. Hillary's burning desire to be at the very top at all cost is also very unwomanly and scary. I can honestly say this as a woman myself and as someone who has lived in the US for a while. There is a very big problem with American women, who often try to be more manly then men. This denotes a huge imbalance in the American society.
I will have a full story of the US ELECTIONS, HILLARY, TRUMP, THIRD PARTIES & THE CLASH OF THE US ELITES in the next EARTH SHIFT REPORT 16.
Russian Elections 2018: yes, they are trying to influence Russian Elections, hoping to weaken Putin. This will be discussed at length in 2017 and 2018. Stay tuned!
Russia announces the new Russian naval base in Tartus
Sergey Shoigu negotiations for the reopening of the Soviet base in Egypt
Putin announces possible reopening of Soviet bases in Cuba and Vietnam
Russia will build a base just a few kilometers from the US territory? Where will that be?
The next move by Russia is a logical development of the S-300 and S-400 move. Russia announced the building of a full Navy base in Tartus, Syria. This has been in the offing for a while and I already wrote about it in ESR5 and ESR7. However, it was only now that Russian Defence Ministry officially confirmed it.
But that was just the beginning of the breakthrough announcements. Following the threats and increasingly war-like rhetoric from Pentagon, White House, London and Paris, Russia announced that it is working on a base in Egypt. In the 1970s there was a Soviet Naval/Air base in Egypt, which the USSR left due to the turn of Egypt towards US. Russia has announced the return to that base.
Russia also announced the return to the Soviet Vietnam base and to the Lourdes Base in Cuba, which was closed in 2001. The Cuba base was discussed when Putin went to Cuba in 2014. It was on the back burner till now. The Lourdes includes the famous radio-electronic recognizance center, which covered all of US radio-electronic traffic.
The Vietnam Navy-Military base was also discussed on and off for quite some time. It is interesting that Vietnam wants Russians at the base as a guarantor of stability in the region, and in no small part, as a counterweight to China, whom smaller neighbors consider a China Sea bully. The region is fraught with territorial disputes. Russia is perceived by many as the only soft power in the world, which can rebalance the situation without excessive force. This is consistent with Russia's role as the Global Balancer.
Incidentally, territorial disputes and the changes in the countries' borders are the sign of the times and we will continue seeing more of that in various parts of the world. The world is shifting into a new reality; the old borders and boundaries do not serve the new paradigm.
From this perspective, the fact that Russia agreed to supply S-400 to India is also interesting. India and China have mutual territorial disputes. Supplying the S-400 to both, evens out the field in case of a conflict. Of course, the BRICS and another organization, SCO, are designed specifically to avoid such direct conflict. The biggest antagonists in both organizations are India (just applied to SCO) and China. These two were finally able to agree on a peaceful compromise after Russia got them together in one room.
Russia announced that S-400 are being supplied exclusively to China and India, as Russian primary strategic partners.

Russia announced that S-400 are being supplied exclusively to China and India, as Russian primary strategic partners.
The bases that were pre-announced so far are just the beginning. Earlier in 2016 Cyprus invited Russians to build a base on its territory. Serbia has been asking for the Russian base for years. Nicaragua and Venezuela are also asking for the Russian bases. NATO member Turkey made threats to boot out US and other NATO troops and invite Russians instead. Russians aren't making any drastic moves and the announcements they deliver are timely and surgically exact. Time will tell if Russians want to engage more bases in more countries.
I have to say that we need fewer military bases in the world, not more of them. However, in the world where the West insists on eating up everyone, it's impossible. The lower souls only understand conflict, and like any bully, they only withdraw when someone else is stronger. When Russia/USSR withdrew from all its bases, hoping for honor and reciprocity by the US and NATO, the opposite happened. US and NATO began expanding to Russia's borders.
Therefore, Russia asserting herself in various regions of the world makes it more difficult for the US to bully either Russia or anyone else. This is in line with the ongoing Earth Shift, accompanied with the gradual loss of power by the excessively aggressive, yang West and the redistribution of said power in a more equitable fashion by Russia, the Great Global Balancer.
Last, but not least: where can Russia build a base that will be just kilometers away from the US territory? Answer: it won't be in Mexico or Canada. It will be in the Chukotka peninsula, Russia - separated from Alaska by the narrow Bering Strait.
The World Energy Summit in Ankara and Russia-Turkey breakthroughs
The Turkish Stream deal, Akkuyu Gen 5 nuclear power plant, the entire Turkish energy system overhaul
Image below: At the World Energy Summit in Ankara, which just ended, Putin was the guest of honor and keynote speaker. He is seated on the right hand of the host, Turkish President Erdogan, who appears in a very good mood. On Putin's other hand is another important to both Turkey and Russia guest, Azerbaijan President Aliyev. US for years courted and threatened Azerbaijan, and Turkey's long history with US and NATO is well known. No Obama or US reps in sight. The message is clear.
The World Energy Summit, which was supposed to include all energy superpowers, conspicuously excluded USA, who claimed in 2014 that its shale oil and gas production exceeded those of Saudi Arabia and Russia. I wrote back then that the dive in oil prices was initially orchestrated by Saudis and Qatar to drive US and Canadian shale oil out of business as their perceived biggest competitors. Of course, the Canadian Alberta shale oil and gas industry is fully under the US thumb.
Saudi scheme succeeded admirably and most of US/Canada oil producers are out of business because shale oil is a lot more expensive and extracting it at these prices is impossible. I am not even talking about the cost to the environment. The situation is catastrophic in Alberta, Canada, as well as in some areas of the US: jobs are gone, unemployment, people leaving in droves.
Suddenly, the much trumpeted 'revolutionary' US shale oil and gas production has plopped. If US didn't trumpet it so much, if they just kept their heads down and quietly worked on it, then perhaps none of this would have happened. But US can't do it any other way: exhibitionism, expansionism, exceptionalism - are the key words to describe the US modus operandi.
US had to trumpet its new 'shale oil/gas breakthrough' because it was supposed to save the US Empire from collapse, like supposedly the new technology of the internet saved it back in the 1990s.
In reality, it wasn't the internet that saved US and Western economy in the 1990s - early 2000s. It was the talent and resources that were siphoned out of Russia, post Soviet collapse. I really want this thought to penetrate everyone very well! US propaganda ALWAYS lies. Why on earth do you think they might be telling the truth here? It wasn't the internet: it was the Soviet resources and wealth, which generations of Soviet/Russian people diligently accumulated, and the talent that the USSR heftily invested into growing and educating!
US Empire is dying and would have been already dead if not for the fresh life force infusion Russia/USSR gave it in the '90s-2000s. Same goes for the rest of the West (read SPIRITUAL GEOPOLITICS & What Happens if a Country Gains or Loses its Life Force).
Now it becomes clear why US needed at all cost to trumpet the new illusion: the fact that it was supposedly the world's No.1 producer of oil and gas. It was done to calm down those who saw the writing of an impending collapse on the wall, and to instill fear and trepidation into those who might have been competitors or enemies. What US didn't take into account in its 'exceptionalist' cockiness was that it wasn't the '90s any more. There was no dupes such as Gorbachev and Yeltsin. The new Russia slowly withdrew her life force that was sucked out of her by the vampire US/West. Russia decided to rebuild and keep her life force to herself, thank you very much. And that caused a confusion and hysterical fit in the US and their vassals.
Therefore, once Russia withdrew the life force that was so freely used and abused by the US/West and kept it to herself, the US didn't have enough staying power for new projects. As the old single-polar world and NWO project began collapsing, Saudis saw an opening and decided to make a play against the US shale.
The main goal was to drive US/Canada shale oil and gas out of business. Making any other country suffer along the way was, perhaps, a bonus, but it really wasn't the main goal. Saudis/Qatar would love to weaken Russia, their real biggest competitor. But Russia came into this prepared.
When the US, along with the NWO pointman George Soros, jumped on the bandwagon and drove oil prices even more down, while at the same time crashing the ruble, it was an afterthought - not the original plan.

Erdogan's debt to Putin and how it will be repaid
Why USA is being shunned
During the World Energy Summit several important signals were sent. The summit took place in Ankara shortly after the attempted coup. As we established in ESR13: ERDOGAN'S WAR: US, and specifically CIA, that was behind the coup. Erdogan and the Turks firmly believe that. We have also established that Putin warned Erdogan of the upcoming coup, thus saving his life (read the whole sequence of events in ESR13. Now Erdogan owes Putin and Russia. This is the time of making good on his debts.
So, the first signal was that Turkey is fine and capable of hosting a global event, despite the recent coup attempt.
The second signal was the fact that Erdogan met Putin personally at the airport and that he was seen with him all the time, everywhere. Putin was seated next to Erdogan at all major events. On the other side of Erdogan sat his wife and on the other side of Putin, president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. A very strong message indeed.
The next message was the guest list. One of the embarrassments for the US was that the energy superpower Venezuela was invited to the summit. USA was not.
Most of the guests were the usual suspects and OPEC members, plus Russia. Turkey is trying to position itself as the new energy hub between the Middle East, Russia and Europe. After Turkey realized (finally) that US would stab them in the back in no time, the prospects for the implementation of the Turkish energy hub project are looking better and better. I have to say it is a good idea and Russia has been all for it. What previously halted it was the fact that Erdogan tried to sit on two chairs at once. Once Erdogan made up his mind, the new impetus was given the the project.
Despite the crazy pressure and displeasure by the US, Erdogan signed the Turkish Stream deal, something US tried to prevent at all cost. I spoke in ESR13 of the fact that the downing of the Russian Su24 jet by the Turkish army was a desperate move by the US to put a rift between Turkey and Russia in order to stop Turkish Stream.
Let's just say, however evil Saudis and Qatar are, they are pussy cats compared to the USA. Erdogan finally figured it out and got rid of the main pro-Western force in his government, Crimean Tartar Davutoglu (all about him in ESR7: TURKISH CONUNDRUM and ESR13). This cleared the road for the new policies and reconciliation with Russia.
There was some hesitation on the Russian part, due to how unpredictable and moody Erdogan is. However, the Turkish Stream deal has been signed and it is a go, and on better conditions for Russia than previously.
Akkuyu Gen 5 Nuclear Power Plant is also a go. This is a mega-project of the decade. There are also other projects: essentially, Russians will be re-designing the entire energy sector of Turkish economy, which is severely outdated and inadequate.
As a reward for good behavior, Putin announced that Russia will let Turkish fruits and vegetables back into the Russian market. Russian tourism routes to Turkey are being slowly reopened. What has been confirmed by various Turkish analysts: after the Russian sanctions, most Turks realized how dependent they were on Russian markets and Russian tourists. They can't wait to get back into Russians' good graces.
The next message was the deal between OPEC and Russia to curb oil production in order to stimulate oil prices. This is the first time in a long time such deal has been reached. In truth, no one expects the curbing of production to be honored by the Saudis; they always cheat. But the main importance of such announcement is to send a signal to the markets and users that there is a will to lift oil prices. This message will eventually start working its magic and price will eventually go up.
Here we have two important messages: 1. It was underscored by Saudi Arabia that Russia and Saudis make these kinds of global decisions. OPEC and Russia made this decision - US wasn't invited. 2. It is a signal that the scheme of driving US out of shale oil business has worked and is complete.
Last, but certainly not least, a very important message was sent by Putin's presence at the World Energy Summit: oil prices spiked as a result of his speech.
All in all, in this very complex, convoluted and dangerous grand chess game Russia and Putin managed to outplay US in the Middle East in all directions.
The final thought I want to leave you with is this: Yes, it is true that the Middle East is an entangled mess of contradictory interests and ambitions of rulers, countries and oil. Yes, they all hate each other. But in the few short years, Putin and Russia managed to position themselves in the region as the only force respected and minded by various conflicting parties. At the same time, US managed to lose its formerly considerable clout in the Middle East through its reckless actions.
Another, equally sobering thought: while US created havoc in Ukraine, hoping for vicious anti-Russia on Russian borders and thinking that Russia couldn't possibly reach USA across the big pond to retaliate, Russia quietly did what she could, elsewhere. While US were busy in Ukraine, Russia created a very strong position in the Middle East. Russian Airforce went to Syria; Egypt deals are being developed; Saudis are rebelling against US and want to cozy up to Russia; Turkish Stream problem has been solved and Turkey wants to boot out US/NATO off its bases; US lost Azerbaijan, whom they previously kept on a tight leash; Russia just finished their first military drill with Pakistan; Iraq and Afghanistan want to ask for Russia's - not USA's - help to fight ISIL.
The result of meddling in Ukraine is USA's Pyrrhic victory. Ukraine will eventually revert back to its true roots. But USA's loss of influence in the Middle East will never be repaired and will come back to haunt it for a very long time. In fact, it will be one of the nails into the US Empire's coffin. More to come.

Return to the 2014 tensions? New Cold War? WWIII on the horizon?
What do the new direct threats of war by the US and UK mean?
Will US risk direct confrontation with Russia
Lada Ray view and predictions
What do the new direct threats of war by the US and UK mean?
Will US risk direct confrontation with Russia
Lada Ray view and predictions
I have been asked by various followers whether the direct threats of war against Russia by the West or threats of bodily harm to Russian citizens by US and UK are a rerun of 2014, when the Crimea's ascension to the Russian Federation was met with something similar. Is it Cold War 2.0? Or are we on the collision course with WWIII.
No, it's not a rerun of 2014. They didn't permit themselves such audacity back then and kept their words within some sort of semblance of propriety. This is a new round of escalation.
The reason for that is 2-fold:
1. The US Elections and the aggressive Western elites' frantic effort to push Clinton into the White House at any cost. They know she is tainted goods and they know they are running out of time. This is why so much hysteria and escalation. They try to unite their respective populaces against Russia, hoping this would be enough to push Clinton to the top. I'll talk about that in detail in ESR16.
2. On the grand scale, they know they are losing the battle and power is slipping out of their hands. They are trying desperately to hang on to it. They understand Russia's true balancing role and this is something they are trying with all their might not to let happen.
This is why they are now acting according to their true nature: as brutal mafia bosses. The situation is so dire that they can't afford the thin veneer of democracy and common decency they used to wear. It's all in the open and gloves off. The only weapon that still works with the dupes is vilifying Russia and Putin, and attempting to mobilize the society against 'the scary Russian enemy.'
But is it just rhetoric, or will US/UK risk open confrontation? As I said many times before, and PREDICTED: US will never risk open confrontation with Russia because US knows how it will end. But what US will do at all cost is try to broadside Russia, use threats, hoaxes, lies and MSM to attack and discredit Russia. US will use proxies, from ISIL to Ukraine nazi junta, and patsies like Baltics, Poland and Romania, to try to destabilize Russia and bring conflict to Russia's door. US will try to put a rift between Russia and her partners through false flags and terror. Economic sanctions and financial attacks are another mechanism. This is USA's MO through and through. They already know they can't execute a coup in Russia and they are unable to destabilize Russia from within. So they will do it from without.
My prediction: this will continue, but it won't make a dent. Russians have seen what US can do during Soviet Afghan War and during the collapse of the USSR. They won't fall for it again. And US doesn't have any new tricks up their sleeve. They used up all their tricks, and Russians have been forewarned about their old tricks.
A more stark prediction I'll make is this: the longer US goes on with such disgusting underhanded tactics, the bigger will be the negative karma and the final payback. US is in the process of creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of mega-proportions.
Is this Cold War 2.0? Nope, the original Cold War never ended. There was just a temporary truce. The Cold War is a state of being for the superpowers so they would not collide in the hot nuclear war, resulting in a mutually assured destruction. It will exist for as long as the world allows it to exist. The only exit out of this state is to:
1. create a multi-polar world -- AND
2. rise human consciousness from the 3D - 4D level of confrontation to the 5D level of cooperation.
Are we on the collision course with WWIII? Nope, as I also predicted many times previously. Putin and Russia won't let that happen.
